Service was terrible. Refused to apologize after trying to charge us for an extra night. Even when i asked that they should, he still refused. Truly mind blowing in what is supposed to be a 5 star resort. The pool and view is beautiful and the rooms were clean and nice. It was just such a shame that every interaction with staff was challenging (with a few exception such as a very kind server, Jesus). The staff kept pointing us to use the app to book restaurants etc but the app never worked on the day of booking. again - no explanation so apologies for us always having to go to reception to sort these things out

Hotel's Favourite
As Club Melia members, we are regulars to the Gran Melia- we have just returned from our 7th visit in 9 years. It is fair to say we have lost none of our love for this amazing hotel. The facilities in the hotel remain stunning and the service is excellent in general. The food too in the various restaurants we were able to dine in on our half board option were if anything, better than ever. The hotel has adapted well to the Covid pandemic and hopefully some of the adjustments such as removing certain items from the bedrooms or not being able to book your choice of restaurant more than one day in advance will only be temporary. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

My partner and I had a lovely time in one of the Villas from the Red Level Gran Melia. The Villa was perfect, comfortable and always impeccable. Many thanks to all members of the team whom were taking great care of us at all times. Honestly this doesn’t feel like a five star hotel. Waiter service is at a minimum, however, have to say the restaurant managers etc do try to compensate that). Food quality is great but all the restaurants are either closed or fully booked leaving very little option if you don’t feel like having dinner at 22:00 o clock. We did not get the all inclusive option but was surprised to see even all inclusive guests have to pay extra for “luxury” dishes as they call them. (Like a glass of champagne) The pool cabana’s aren’t for guests to use without a reservation and without paying €180 (!!) a day. (This amount will be deducted from any food and drinks you order between 10-18h) Overall, feel like this is a 5 star hotel for people who have never been to a 5 star hotel.

Check in quick and straightforward. We arrived at midday and got our room immediately. We did have a taxi transfer from the airport, this may have helped to avoid waiting to check in Staff Manager Alejandro really helpful. Bar staff - Javi (his customer service is fantastic, he is a big asset to the hotel). German was also friendly. Estephanie (apologies if not spelt correctly), she makes the best cocktails. Pool concierge Ali really helpful and friendly Main restaurant a man called Eduardo one of the managers in the evening (apologies if not spelt correctly) friendly and attentive, nothing was to much trouble. Ladies dressed in red, Angela and apologies we cannot remember the other lady’s name, both were lovely and approachable. Rooms Housekeeping excellent - high standard and wonderful Clarins products. The rooms need modernising & some English tv channels for background noise Our room had a lovely ocean view overlooking the pool which did not disappoint! Food Our favourite is the buffet restaurant, Pangea lots of choice - stir fry is incredible Less cocktail options this year despite the AI package App Alejandro explained and assisted us with this which was very helpful. Staff were prompt when we requested some hair conditioner to our room through the app. Only real negative is no congratulations on arrival for our honeymoon. We did get a complementary bottle of champagne after we mentioned it was a special occasion (with a card saying happy anniversary)! We have enjoyed our holiday and would return.
