I have stayed here four times now, the staff, food and room are all wonderful. Each room has a huge private terrace overlooking the banana plantation, the Atlantic and there is a view of La Gomera. A special extra is the flock of hairy sheep
We stayed here for the third time and enjoyed every minute of it. The sunset view towards La Gomera from the terrace is a ritual every day. The staff - family and receptionist Giselle- are wonderful nice people. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The whole ground of the hotel is in the midst of banana plantations of the finca (Alberto, one of the owners can give very interesting information on banana growing) and you can eat as many of the lovely sweet tangy Canarian bananas as you like. Breakfast is Canarian style with fresh produce from the finca, abundant and good. Same for the dinner which is cooked if ordered in the morning. The swimming pool is exquisite and we had many beautiful star gazing hours on the rooftop terrace . A place to return to again!
The location of this B&B is excellent, if you like peace and quiet, and have a rental car. However: - The rooms are nice put need some maintenance. E.g. the shower head needs replacement, the lid on the bin is broken, light is not working.... Small things which can all be fixed in a day, so why is this not done? - None of the showers (2) at the pool work. - Staff is not very friendly. One morning I woke with a terrible migraine and wanted to rest a little while in the room. This was not permitted by the cleaning staff! - The last day we requested an early breakfast to catch our flight. The restaurant was open and the cook was setting up breakfast. We we're allowed to take what was available: only small bread roles and sausages. No yoghurt, fruit, jam! How long does it take to place these items on the buffet? Also we sat at the inside tables, without any cutlery, so we had to eat with our hands. When we left, we saw that the cook placed cutlery on all outside tables, but didn't bother to give us a knife. It was clear that she had a problem waking up half an hour earlier than normal. I started giving 2 stars, but decided to change it to one as I am typing this review.…
Stayed there last week for seven nights. Excellent breakfast and very comfy and clean rooms with great balconies overlooking banana plantations. So far removed from coastal developments. The cleaner for our room was lovely and all was very spick and span. I swam in the hotel pool every morning before breakfast and there was no one else there. It's not a big pool but again clean and well designed. We walked to nearby beach but preferred to swim off the local harbour. Very deep and warm tho rough water and then lunch in nearby square. Perfect
Good, nice, special, calm, out-of-tourists place, relaxen, inviting , nice people, good room with terras. And that soms it all up I guess: definately a place to stay if you want to be a little out of the busy places, and want to enjoy you stay on the Island.
