No detail is overlooked at this property and was one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. For weeks before arrival, I corresponded with their staff to arrange transfers and a tour. Christian was extremely prompt and helped me to make a variety of arrangements. He connected me with a tour guide for the day who was absolutely wonderful. Every member of the staff was welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant was among some of the best I had in Piedmont. I can't recommend this property enough! Thank you for such a wonderful stay and all of your assistance.

We spent 3 weeks vacationing in Italy in August and stayed at a couple of Relais & Chateaux's. The Castello di Guarene was absolutely our favorite. This property is simply perfection in every way. The castle and it's museum, the rooms, service, cuisine, wine cellar and sommelier were of the highest quality. Thank you chef Gerado for all you did for us!!!

The castle has a commanding view across the rolling hills and has beautiful views. The property is very well looked after by a cohesive team but the stand out team members are Giuseppe the manager of the property. He gave us a full tour of the castle (over an hour!) once we arrived. We thought that after a flight and a drive from Milan airport this might be too much but honestly the tour was so informative and interesting and we had so many questions. The castle is full of history and a tour is necessary to help get your bearings. Dinner was nice - great food and wine service from a friendly team but the setting terrace of the restaurant) had limited views of the garden. Breakfast was a small but quality affair. The lady in charge was very helpful, professional yet friendly and keen on providing an efficient service. She recalled coffee preferences and if anything was depleted she would call the kitchen to make more. Good local sparking wine to enjoy as well on the terrace with your continental breakfast! Reception was helpful in booking local restaurants. We appreciated this and ate out on most days. Osteria imperfeccta ( go early and get an outside table for amazing views) and Restaurant Aie (cozy outdoor seating with a surprise menu paired with bottles of magnums which keep switching between the tables). Unique experiences. The bar was empty on most evenings but it’s an enclosed room next to the restaurant. We had good chats with other couples on the occasions when we were in. The newly constructed health club was great and did not feel busy. Nice to use the relaxation/spa facilities for a set time per couple. Finally room was very spacious and comfortable. We were on the third floor. The castle only has 12 or so rooms so it never feels busy. It’s a great place and looking forward to returning soon!

Amazing experience! This is a stunning hotel with impeccable service, beautiful grounds and an amazing restaurant. I could not rate this higher! Stayed for just 2 nights in July 2022 with my husband and we adored it! We drove over from Nice. Hotel was gated and secure, good parking. We were taken on a tour of the property which was a nice touch. It is so well kept and the history of the building is so interesting! Stunning details and murano chandelliers. The pool area is lovely and our bedroom super spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant has excellent service and incredible food. We ended up cancelling our reservation at a nearby local restaurant to eat here a second time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Hope to visit again.

This hotel is very unique - you feel like you are staying at the Louvres! It's spectacular, yet the rooms and spa are super well done. It's a unique experience. All rooms are interesting but higher up you have a nice view, while on ground floor you have a little garden.

It’s actually a palace, not a castle. We got a deluxe room and it was big and well decorated with 2 big bathrooms, one with a tub. Although it was very comfortable we noticed something weird about the toilet amenities: they are each one of a different brand and there’s no pattern. They would let a Ferragamo shampoo, a Hermès soap bar and moisturizer and a generic hand soap of low quality. Very odd. Water, coffee and tea should be offered in the room as well. Breakfast is good and the lady in charge very attentive and worked hard to provide everything we asked for but I think sometimes she could use a little help from someone in the kitchen as she was by herself and had to serve, wait on tables, clean them and reset them to other guests who kept coming and there was no one to help, which sometimes led guests waiting. The spa and swimming pool are very interesting, located on the underground of the palace and still with a beautiful view of the village below. The other common areas could be improved. The lobby is dark and not welcoming. There’s even a pool table that doesn’t make any sense in being there lol. I also give the suggestion that the main access gate have the intercom placed in a way to avoid the driver getting out of the car, in the cold and rain, to ask the receptionist to open it. Our stay was good but we left with the feeling that it was not a 5-star Relais & Chateaux property.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the wonderful Castello di Guarene. Wonderful place where you can stay in the middle of history with the advantage of the amenities of today. Friendly, professional team. Makes a stay in the beautiful Piemonte Region simply perfect.

This is an astonishing place, an 18th century palace castle with a phenomenally good view over Piemonte. Worth visiting for the chandeliers alone. Food good, service charming throughout, room comfortable although bathroom is a little challenging for older eyes. Needs better lighting in the bathrooms. The air-conditioning was either very much on or very much off very difficult to control. It is a pity that they do not use their very grand rooms on the piano nobile except for breakfast because they are stunning and better lit than the undercroft. Overall, a memorable visit, prices are fitting for such a location and service

This magnificent hotel is like staying in your own 17th century palace. We have been lucky enough to have stayed in some amazing hotels over the years but this one could be the best ever. Perched right on top of the hill, inside the tiny village, the views are simply divine 360 degrees looking over the hills and valleys of the Piedmont area from the rooms and gardens, its mesmerizing. The building itself is an amazingly kept and restored palace. It has only a few rooms for lucky guests which are superb. Ours felt like we were staying in Buckingham palace. Together with a modern TV ,great aircon and a fabulous en suite marble bathroom, it was bliss. The staff share their passion and the knowledge of the building with the guests and it shows. The pool and spa, accessed through a 150m long underground tunnel also has to be seen to be believed. The restaurant is another fantastic Michelin like experience with fine dining in a garden setting or in the beautiful dining room. All based on local produce with matching local wines if you want. Wine service can be slow fyi. Please put this one on your bucket list you will not regret it
