My daughter and I had a pleasant experience staying at the Tanghay View Lodge when we formed part of the special guests invited to Guiuan to participate in the homecoming of former White Russian refugees to Tubabao Island, from 15 to 21 November 2015. The events in Guiuan and Tubabao were part of the celebration of the 125th birthday anniversary...

Owner Susan Lim, and her hotel and restaurant staff, were very friendly and accommodating. There is a need to book days/weeks in advance if you plan to stay here since it always is fully booked. Food is cheap and very good.

The owner is readily available and pays attention to the smallest details. She regularly brings in food from Tacloban, Cebu, and Manilla to make sure that guests have an excellent dining experience. The hotel is kept clean and the staff is laid back and happy to help in any way possible. Most recently, we stayed there shortly after Typhoon Haiyan...

Tanghay View Lodge is the perfect accommodation when visiting the peaceful town of Guiuan. Located in a coastal Barangay, the place is just a walking distance from the town proper. The rooms are well-maintained and the dining area is lovely, characterized by the picturesque seascape of Eastern Visayas. The food is very good at affordable price. :)

I have been to Guiuan on several occasions, but this was the first time at Tanghay Lodge due to the fact that has always been near impossible to contact. Like a previous report, i stayed in room 102 which was spacious enough for myself, wife and baby, with a bed left over. Room was cleaned daily. Food was fine and...

Guiuan is essentially a historic rural port that suffers only from the fact its Airport is not opened or developed. So getting there is a three hour A/C van trip from Tacloban for 150 pesos. Tanghay View is a healthy stroll from the centre of town or 20 pesos by motortrike ride. I stayed 20 - 29 Mar 2013. The...

My hubby and his family stayed in Tanghay during our wedding. Our guests really enjoyed the place for it was clean, spacious, the staffs were accommodating, the food was good and it has a nice view. The hotel has only few rooms, probably they designed it that way to give privacy to their guests. It has a wide parking space...
