There is an incredible culture of Service at Barefoot Cay. From top to bottom. I was amazed. You won’t be disappointed with any part of your vacation. When you leave you’ll feel like you’ve made genuine connections with the staff. The Food at Silver Sides is the best on the Island try chef Britney’s specials, be sure you leave with some of Scottys hot sauce. The Dive staff is excellent and will do everything they can to assure your experience is a good one.

This place is perfect if you like boutique resorts that are a little off the beaten path. The good news is that the restaurant, Silversides, is so good that you won’t feel trapped because you only have one place to eat. The cabins have been recently renovated and are very nice. There is a new owner who is putting money into upgrading and refreshing the place. The staff and service is great. The best part for me was because there are less resorts on this side of the island, we only saw divers from another resort at one dive site all week. Nothing ruins a good dive for me more than dropping on a site with another 50 divers underwater. Divemaster Ron and Captain Kevin are awesome. DM Ron was able to quickly assess the skill level of the divers and let divers dive to their ability. Overall, a great experience. There are not many places that I repeat but this will be one that I put my my repeat list.

Barefoot is very quiet and secluded. Amazing staff. Delicious food at silversides. I went for some scuba training and got my rescue diver from Ron. Amazing dive instruction. I was very impressed with my stay.

My family (two teenagers, all certified, avid divers) came here for six days before Christmas. We came here specifically to dive. We chose not to leave the resort, although the staff would have arranged whatever we would like to have done. We ate excellent food at the onsite restaurant, Silversides for all our meals. See my review on this restaurant, it was outstanding. We ate breakfast, dove, ate lunch, two more dives, relaxed, ate dinner. It was perfect. We did not want a touristy experience and this little oasis was just right. The resort recently changed hands and renovations were going on. They did not bother us a bit. Our ocean front villa had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and living area that opened to the ocean. Each room had two beds and ac. I was pleased with the accommodations, no complaints. The diving is great and the reef is in excellent shape. I did not realize I had scheduled this trip during rainy season. The only issue with this was that the visibility could be murky after a rain. The water temp was still in the 80s. I am hoping to come back and repeat this trip in late spring/early summer so I can see the reef even better. If diving, eating great food and relaxing are your idea of a good time, this is the trip for you.
