ONLY ATE AT THE RESTAURANT! Great restaurant beautifully located by the Göta Kanal. Was surprised with the quality of the food. The only bad thing is that it's abit pricey. All main-courses cost 290 SEK which is a bit steep even with Stockholm standards.

A very nice and clean hotel in an old charming building. The food is fantastic. We had a meny - Götas meny - and it was great. The staff made a good presentation and it tasted really good. The environment -- near to Gota canal - is nice to walk in.

This is a very nice hotel in South/Middel Sweden. It is situated by the Göta Canal connecting the Baltic Sea and the lakes Vättern and Vänern. There are boates from all Europe in the locks of the Canal. The hotel is very picturesque and therefore used for weddings and other celebrations. Summertime you can have an excellent dinner served outdoor...

Our room with two seperate beds had its own bathroom. The walls showed marks of dead mosquitos. The breakfast is basic. The restaurant is closed on sundays, but it is listed in the swedish white guide a special list for excellent cooking. Very friendly personal.

Here is an idyllic rural setting. This classic Falu Red wooden hotel is right by the canal and to the front overlooks the lock in the tiny town of Borensberg in the Swedish "Lake District" [there are lakes all over Sweden but there are some seriously big lakes around here]. To the rear is Motala Ström, the lovely river which...

“The front overlooks the canal - quite busy during the summer but just with peaceful boaty traffic. The back overlooks the river.”
