Overall we had an okay time but were very ready to get to our next hotel. Perhaps it just wasn't for us as we wanted to do a lot of exploring and were so far from everything. All meals are served at a set time and very over priced for a dry tuna sandwich at lunch and a pork chop...

This hotel is off any main road at the top of a hill. You are greeted with drinks, which were needed after a long ferry ride to the island (that's a totally different review). The compost toilet was interesting. My kids were freaking out about the large amount of ants in our room coming from the front door. The best...

Huts are discreetly spaced with superb views of Lake and Volcano. Food is simple & tasty although limited choice. Need transport to get anywhere. Bath towels are super soft. The staff are wonderfully. Lovely small infinity pool. Shower and hand basin are basic but functional.

From the Balgue main road, its a mile up a road of rocks and dirt, until at last the lodge appears. We are greeted with drinks, views and pleasant main lodge. Our house (Istian) has 2 big airy bedrooms and a kitchen and 3 season room. On the roof there's a a plunge tub and views of Concepcion and Lake...

Great concept, awesome location & view and hospitality at a very high level. A real eco-gem; which means you will need to be open to be a bit closer to nature, but it is more than wort it. We stayed (only) 2 nights but would definitely recommend a longer stay.

There is no doubt that the eco-lodge has beautiful views of the jungle and Concepcion Volcano and it is very peaceful and quite here, but it just didn't live up to our expectations. First of all, it is very remote. They offer to arrange lots of activities but the travel cost to reach these is around $40-$50. Considering a local...

Honestly I don't understand the overall 4/5 stars review. This place has potential but a lot of work to do or it should definitively down size the price. First of all, it's a big travel to get there. And when the bus drops you off down the main road, it's still 35 min to walk up hill with your bags...

It's a beautiful lodge in a great location with well designed sustainable systems. It's well worth your time and effort to get above the noise and chaos in the beach towns to stay here. We walked on trails in the jungle watching blue morphos and other butterflies, assorted birds, monkeys, cool insects, plants and flowers. They have a beautiful garden...

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a nature girl. My idea of roughing it is when room service is late. Totoco Eco-Lodge surpassed my expectations. It is a hidden gem in the jungle with spectacular views. The food is delicious and the large great room/lobby area is cozy (My husband and two teenage girls and I played...

To call this place a lodge is not quite accurate. This amazing location high amid the trees within the coffee plantations, howler monkeys and overlooking the volcano Concepcion in the middle of "nowhere" is nothing short of amazing! The incredible vistas, classy rooms and luxurious towels and coconut soap...daily water in beautiful bottles and wonderful food made this one of...
