Our traditional working sheep farm is situated at 1200 ft above sea level, on the quiet, unspoiled western side of the Peak District National Park in Rainow, near Macclesfield, Cheshire. We enjoy excellent open countryside with far-reaching views over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh mountains. On the farm we have five Bed and Breakfast rooms, plus two self catering holiday cottages in tastefully converted stone barns.

Stayed just the one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Stunning location on a working farm reached by a long track from the road. A 20 minute walk across the fields and down a farm track takes you to the Robin Hood pub in Rainow so very convenient, although be warned, it is uphill all the way back! Room was very cosy, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water and loads of towels!! Breakfast was delicious...you can chose your own from the menu provided the night before so no long waits. Did not meet Geoff but had a very pleasant chat with Rona over breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a really comfortable and welcoming b and b on a hill farm in stunning scenery, this is the place for you. The farm is down a long track - so it is far away from the road and totally peaceful. As well as comfortable bedrooms, there is a visitors' lounge with a computer and lots of books about the area. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts, Geoff and Rona, were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I thoroughly recommend this place!

We were up in this area for a family function and stayed here. It was a particularly wet and windy weekend and the weather up there was wild. We had a warm welcome, the rooms were old-fashioned, but very comfortable and had everything you needed, including coffee and tea making facilities. The wifi could only really be accessed in the lounge and breakfast area and the phone service was patching - made it hard to communicate with the other party members staying in other places. The breakfast was amazing, good quality locally produced ingredients and the coffee was spot on. It was worth visiting just for this English breakfast. It was served promptly with a smile and was plentiful. I would imagine in the summer months this B&B has amazing views across the countryside, sadly we visited at a time when we could not benefit. Recommended.

Booked by our tour director for one night as part of a tour of the Midlands, this was a great opportunity to experience the English countryside at a working sheep farm. There is a gorgeous vista coming up the road at sunset, with sheep filled pastured hills in every direction. We were tracing ancestors in the area and the proprietor helped us connect with two possible area relatives, and provided some interesting history. She also recommended Sutton Hall for dinner, which was a bit of a drive (as is everything since it is well out in the country), but well worth it. Room was generally well appointed, but the towels were extremely coarse.
