We stayed 7 nights at Chateau de Riell and loved it. Many hiking tours are only half or an hour by car away. The pool is lovely to recover from walking. The garden is well kept and a paradies to relax. We did not pay to much for the porters lodge in low season and could prepare our own breakfast....

The Hotel could be fantastic if it would work properly... We got very disappointed after arriving at the Chateu and realized that neither Spa nor the pools were open. Having made a reservation with some expectations and not been informed in advance that the facilities promised weren't able to be used is for us a big mistake of the management,...

we liked: the building and annexes are beautiful, such a charming setting. The room was large and inviting and included a kitchenette (no tea or coffee though, disappointingly). staff are superbly trained, friendly and professional we didn't like: the excessive charging for extras-our bill trebled overnight! EUR34 for two gin and tonics- I can buy two bottles for that....EUR17 for...

we arrived late afternoon and at this hidden treasure. Our casita was located within a few paces fro the main building, close to the pool and in the heart of these magical garden. The casita was spacious and well appointed . Every type of comfort was thought of. The food was superb, the service excellent.

We stayed for four nights in a garden room and were thoroughly impressed with the room, the restaurant and the location. The food was fantastic and the local area is fantastic including the pool on the roof. It was a true escape from real life and the ambiance felt special.

We stayed in the Aubepine room on the first floor of the Castle and enjoyed a romantic, spacious and well-equipped room with splendid view of the valley. The Restaurant is a treat on luxurious setting, table arrangement, food appearance and taste as well as superb service. We have visited many luxurious hotels and restaurants world-wide, but Chateau de Riell is...

The drive up to the hotel is a little hairy (for people used to driving on the other side of the road at least!), but it was absolutely worth it. The property is gorgeous, the staff are attentive and competent. Our room was like something out of a fairytale. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and both were...

My daughter and I ate twice at the restaurant at Chateau de Riell on a recent stay at Le Grand Hotel (The chateau's 2nd property which is reached via a very convenient path - although you earn your amuse bouche on the way up the hill!). We loved our hotel, but the food there was disappointing so we went in...

Truly wonderful and magical place. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a treat. I loved swimming in the pool on the roof in amongst the treetops. I would advise though checking the day the restaurant is closed.

I stayed at Chateau de Riell for three nights and didn't want to leave. Everything was so relaxing and the rooms were absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend a room in the tower. The spring breeze through the windows was so enticing. And the food was just outstanding. I was planning on exploring the whole region around the hotel, but...
