The Griffin Inn, is a traditional 14th century country pub with restaurant offering fresh, locally sourced, seasonal food. There is always a good selection of Lager, Ales and beers to choose from. We have regular live music. We are located in the heart of the village of Yoxford, easily accessed by the A12 and close to the Heritage Coast, Minsmere RSPB Reserve, Aldeburgh and Southwold, in an area known as the Garden of Suffolk. We understand the importance of excellent customer service so you will hopefully feel that your in a home away from home whilst staying with us and enjoying our carefully selected ales, food and maybe darts or Pool by the open fire. Guests and customers can enjoy fast wifi and the open fire in our traditional country bar and the quirks of this unique historical building are available to see in both the restaurant and the bright, airy bedrooms. We are also proud to welcome Dogs with well behaved owners both in our accommodation and in our country bar. On passing through Yoxford we decided to stop at the Griffin Inn for a drink and lunch. Because of the dreaded virus that’s about it was almost devoid of customers. However, we were warmly greeted and we asked if they were serving food. . We opted for the sandwiches which were freshly made and tasted so good. A quaint old style pub and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. On the A1120 just before you get to the A12.

Always a great night spent here. Friendly staff, good food, and great beers on tap, what more can you ask for? They have a great menu and are very accommodating. Nice to see someone running a place where you feel so at home.

Everything and everybody including staff and locals! We couldn’t have been more welcomed, especially bringing our dog who was totally spoilt and comfortable with our stay over two nights. The room was perfect, spacious, clean and cosy! Miranda was the most friendliest and genuine person, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was fab (and our dog enjoyed a sausage 😜) and as for dinner, wow! Can’t wait to book another stay with the griffin inn! 10/10!!! Coralie, Jamie and Arnie x

Can’t comment on the food, as we haven’t had a meal here, but the welcome is friendly, the beer is good, the pool table works, and dogs are welcome. Parking is available on site and it would be a good place to stay for touring.
