Looks very unasuming from the highway-do not let this make you miss out on a very unique experience! Feels like you are miles away from normal life in this arty creative karoo setting. Walk around the grounds and explore the artworks. Take a dip in the rockpool and peek over the edge into the kloof(smallish canyon). Rooms are clean and...

Stayed one night with a group. A few things went wrong. Badly wrong with the booking. The owners, very hands on, tried his best with his team to sort out the problem and did well under the circumstances. The hotel is quite run down and needs to be spruced up. Dining is not of a good standard either. Has potential.

Stayed here for one night. Well. What does one say? It has potential but is in need of some serious cosmetic upgrade. Grounds are untidy and the resturant is really run down although the bar looks inviting. Our room had loads of damp spots, paint peeling off the walls etc. Also, the lighting was so poor we had to get...

We had a family wedding here and all the guests stayed over. The chapel is rustic and the celebration feast prepared by the owner was fantastic. This venue has so many inviting spaces for friends and family to relax and enjoy spending time together.

My boyfriend and I chanced upon Karoo One on our way back from Cape Town to Jahannesburg. We were warmly greeted by Yves the owner and shown to our room. Yves showed us around the area and really did his best to make us feel comfortable. Our room was beautiful, luxurious and comfortable. The hotel village is in a quiet...

I stayed at Karoo 1 recently for two nights and I was very dissapointed. On arrival I was asked how early can I vacate my room on the Friday as they had a group booking for the weekend and they needed to clean the room early. 07:00 sounded reasonable. However the whole experience soured when everything revolved around the group...

We had a fantastic weekend at Karoo one with 20 other couples. The owner Yves goes the extra mile to ensure everybody has a wonderful experience. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his great staff. Even though the weather was cold for this time of the year we all did the tractor trip to an elevated koppie for...

We were a group of 33 who arrived mid Friday afternoon and left the following Sunday after breakfast. Every one in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves and some even booked a follow-up visit before leaving! Many advised that they would definitely be back. Accommodation and all facilities were spacious and very comfortable. We left our meals to the discretion of...

We had a stunning weekend. Yves was a wonderful host. We have booked another weekend in Feb as we enjoyed it so much. Definitely worth a visit! The fish served at breakfast was out of this world. The rooms were beautifully furnished. Very unique and I loved all the art work on the walls. The staff were extremely helpful and...
