A wonderful experience we will cherish forever. We stayed in room 8. It has a beautiful 4 poster bed, a large bathroom with a roll top bath and a twin room off it as well. We had our wedding on a Friday afternoon in the garden with 14 of our close family. It was a beautiful setting. The staff were...

A small locally run oasis of beautiful gardens, historic hotel and great service. A super place for tea and scones right next to the Nyanga National Park. There is also great birding in the gardens and the Rhodes museum run by the National Trust of Zimbabwe.

What a joy to see the artifacts of one man who once walked this land and had great influence in shaping its history. Witness Cecil John Rhodes' ox-drawn cart which he used on the journey from Cape Town to Zimbabwe in 1890s during the colonialization process. Visit Nyangombe falls within 5km from the hotel.

Formerly Rhodes summer holiday residence, the hotel has a colonial charm set amongst native and eucalyptus trees in a beautiful setting inside the Nyanga Nat Park. It has plenty of Rhodes memorabilia and you can enjoy drinks in the bar by the fire, watching the sunset on the verandah or a meal in the period dining room. Unfortunately is rather...

We visited this hotel in September but did not stay there, just have tea and scones on the veranda. What a place! I was really sorry that we were not staying there. Sitting on the veranda was like being back 100 years ago - wonderful old furniture. It was once the home of Cecil Rhodes but don't worry he's not...

I really enjoyed my time here the food was great and there was WiFi available as well as Dstv. The WiFi was a bit slow but by Zimbabwean standards it was ok. They also washed our car for us which was good of them. Overall we liked it and it was also close to the Nyanga national park.

The hotel is nestled amongst towering trees and lush rainforest vegetation within the picturesque Nyanga National Park. Originally built as a holiday cottage by Cecil John Rhodes, it oozes historical charm, with a picture waiting to be taken at every turn. The garden terraces below the hotel provide slightly restricted views across the wooded valley. Hotel staff happily set up...

Dear Frieda325 Thank you for your feedback. It appears as if room allocation was done by your group organizer and not the hotel, since we usually sell the cottage as a family unit as a standard.
