Want to give a 10+. Tami Lodge (Santos Tours, Cascadas del Saavegre,), staff, surroundings are "special" - really special. An adventure just getting there. Need a 4x4 vehicle. Off the highway, a 20K down dirt road, but it is doable. Arriving, met by Juan (assisted by his son Gustavo). Juan would be our go-to person for our 3night stay. Reserved the Dlx Bungalow (queen/twin), private bath and awesome view. No electricity in the bungalows. There is a battery powered light -we had our own. Plenty of outlets/power strips at the restaurant to power up phones, camera, etc. WIFI at the restaurant. Enjoyed sitting on the porch, taking in the view that never ceased to amaze. We signed up for two tours: eco coffee tour/tasting - quetzal - Johan was our guide for both. Learned about coffee growing, Costa Rican culture, birds, Providencia. Can't say enough about the crew at Tami. Juan and his family are there when we got there ( 0545 before the quetzal tour) and when we left after dinner. The food is really good. Breakfast is awesome and filling. Make sure to ask for the Salsa Piquante :-). I learned from Juan that as much as possible they use products from the local farmers.

A great lodge in the mountains of Los quetzals. The owner and his family were very friendly and accommodating to our group. The food was quality and good value . The view from the room was top notch and I really enjoyed watching the clouds roll in and the birds singing! The absolute highlight was the quetzal tour in the morning as we hiked to a open area in the mountains and we found a group of resplendent quetzals! An all around amazing experience! Thank you Tami lodge

Tami Lodge offers some of the most spectacular views of the Costa Rican rain forest in the mountains of Providencia. Enjoy peace and tranquility 24 hours a day with the sounds of birds in the morning and the slight sound of rain in the late afternoon. When my tour guide first described this place I was a little disappointed to hear we would not have access to electricity and internet but the views from here made up for anything I could ever want. Being able to disconnect and be exposed to nature was such a wonderful experience. The rooms are very beautiful. The beds are comfortable, there are two selves in the tent, and a nightstand with a locking drawer for valuables. The rest of the room within the wooden structure consists of a toilet, a sink, and a shower with one way glass so you can shower in the rain forest. There was also a hammock chair that was hanging on the patio overlooking the valley. There is also a restaurant with incredible local cuisine with fresh fruit. and vegetables grown locally in Providencia. I would highly recommend this secret getaway for anyone looking to travel to Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

When staying at Tami Lodge you quickly realise that this place was built up and is maintained with a lot of love and commitment! If you are looking for a peaceful place away from the typical touristic paths, this is the place to be. It can get really cold at night in the tents, but you can get as many blankets as you need and the view from the terrace in front of the tent is amazing. There is a little waterfall you can walk to, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the little restaurant closeby which were all delicious and the tours offered are really worth it. We did the Quetzal and coffee tour with Alonso who knows so much about nature and all the birds and probably even more about coffee and we felt very well taken care of by everyone. We arrived as strangers and left as friends :-) From other reviews, we were a little concerned about getting there and yes, you do need 4x4, but if you are a bit careful in the ups and downs of the road, it is really not difficult to get there and there are signs with remaining km to the lodge on various points on the road. Thanks to the whole team and wishing you all the best to continue with your project! Greetings from Germany and best wishes, Sabrina & Antonino
