We spent two nights in Péchy Hunting Lodge and overall this was an extraordinary experience from every perspective. The castle and hunting lodge is located in a small village Hermanovce, less than one hour drive from Košice surrounded by a beautiful park. You can experience anything you need depending on your preferences - play tennis, badminton, a massage or sauna or just relax under the trees in the park while having a picnic (as we did). The lodge is a very cosy place to stay, renovated by Mrs. Klára (the owner) with a great attention to details and respect to history and family's heritage. We felt as a part of family during the stay, Mrs. Klára is a perfect host (with great staff around her). If you get a chance to visit Péchy estate (what you definitely should do if you like extraordinary, cosy places with history surrounded by the nature, great services and driven by passionate people), get a chance to ask Mrs. Klára to show you around and guide you through the history of the castle and her family. There is so much to explore :).…
we spent two night at Pechy Castle, and had a great time! Place is perfect for families and couples, and i'm really waiting to get back there with my sons. Miro was so kind and helpful, and everything was geared towards making our stay as good and pleasant as possible.
We attended our sister in laws wedding and stayed here for two nights. This is a great place and is a bit of a time capsule. I did feel a bit of tlc could have gone a long way but enjoyed it non the less.
This is a special place to stay in Slovakia. The 2 lodges were returned to the original family after the end of Communism and one of them has been lovingly restored. We stayed for 2 nights and had two very spacious rooms with a shared bathroom. The common rooms are filled with books and lovely furniture - there is feeling of peace throughout the house. The grounds contain a tennis court and there are plenty of places to relax. During weekends the place is mainly used for weddings. The service was very friendly unfortunately the housekeeper doesn't speak any English and as the owner was away we were helped by the main assistant who spoke very good English. My only complaint is about the price of the evening meal. Even though a bottle of wine was included the 29 Euros per adult is very expensive for Slovakian standards. The meal was fine but certainly not at that price. Breakfast was very good with delicious bread and fruit.…
stayed at the Pechy castle in June and absolutely fell in love with the atmosfere, hotel, home made food and two lovely dogs :-) Rooms were nicely furbished, spa area well decorated and surrounding park is a cut out of jane austen's "pride and prejudice " :-) Huge thanks to Klara/owner, who has taken care of us, for making that place so special!btw: The chocolate cake was to die for :-)
We spent unforgettable Easter days in the castle (kaštiel) in the personal care of its owner Countess Klára. We were amazed by the food, rich and tasty, and the choice of local Easter specialities exactly matched the idea we had of Slovak Easter fare as told by our friends (for example, "syrek"). We could beheld Easter processions gathering in front of the local church right from the castle park and during the day we managed to make a round trip around almost entire Eastern Slovakia. But what we most cherish in our memories is the atmosphere of the whole place, cosy, intimate, classy, yet simple, and creating an irrestistible feeling of being part of a passage in time, back to the days when the castle was a place of gatherings of local land aristocracy. Truly unrivalled. Karel and Adéla, Prague, Czech Republic…
My husband and I spent two nights at Pechy Castle in late March. The food was outstanding, the room very comfortable, and the atmosphere historic. We felt like guests at an aristocratic country house in the 1930s- but with all the mod cons. The sauna is fabulous. Peachy Castle is well located for visiting the sights of eastern Slovakia.
We spent wonderful three days in the Pechy Castle Hunting Lodge. The building,- which is located in a wonderful park- is perfectly renovated, very familiar and cosy. All the rooms are nice, comfortable and different. The Clubhouse is brand new and we got a very good massage.( I missed the wellness, because I wanted to see the downtown of Presov/Eperjes. The Landhaus Quiche- served in the Clubroom -was tasty! And the Apple Crumble! Yummy!. The owner is an excellent personality. She is enthusiastic and kind. The Pechy Castle Hunting Lodge provides a warm and welcoming service of International standard. I would definitely recommend it for everyone!
We stayed one night with my wife. The house is superb, the rooms are tastefully decorated, the owner is a Swiss interior designer who got the property in a restitution. The dinner was great and the breakfast too. It has beautiful park and small but nice wellness area. It is ideal for a romantic break. We shall return.
