Having worked for 20+ years just down the road from Stradbroke I must have run and cycled by Bumble Cottage many times but had never really noticed it - but what a jewel in Suffolk's crown! It is located just outside of the village in a lovely setting where you can experience the Suffolk 'big skies' so loved by many...

Beautiful cottage with charming gardens on the outskirts of Stradbroke. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and stayed in the larger room which has an olde world feel to it with exposed beams and slightly uneven floor! Two windows look out over the garden where you can sit and watch the birds feeding, we even saw two Pheasants...

My wife and I stayed for one night and wished we had booked for the two days we had in the area. The service was friendly, helpful and first rate. The exposed roof timbers and beams gave this room a special feel. The floor was slightly on the tilt which took a bit of getting used to but wasn't too...

We stayed here for 1night. The accommodation is clean and bright. The surrounding area is beautiful. The owners were so helpful and very nice. The only downfall was the bed was a bit small and slipped.

We stayed for 1 night and wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the larger room which was amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Breakfast was also fantastic. Suzan was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The views from the bedroom and bathroom were superb. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family. Thank...

Wow, this is the nicest B+B I've ever stayed in. We'd stayed in the smaller of the two rooms however wished we'd stayed in the larger one because the extra cost is nothing for what you get. The smaller room was gorgeous, such comfy beds, everything you needed and the view of the garden was stunning!! Everything we needed was...

We received a nice welcome to this quiet B&B, and stayed just the one night on our exploration of Suffolk. Bumble Cottage dates back to 1500, so it is unsurprising that the floor to the large beamed room we stayed in is on a bit of a slope. In fact, I had to sleep reversewise to counter the slope; walking...

Superb character filled 16th Century thatched Bed & Breakfast accommodation. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great nights sleep in the Vaulted room. Suzan was a very attentive and friendly host who went out of her way to to make you feel welcome. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and also a small fridge. Breakfast was...

We received a warm welcome from Suzan to her beautiful thatched cottage. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and fresh milk in the fridge. Suzan was unobtrusive but readily available if we needed anything. We slept very well in the peaceful surroundings and were served a delicious breakfast in the morning. We would highly recommend.

We stayed at Bumble Cottage for two nights, as we were attending a family party in Stradbroke. It is a beautiful 16th century thatched cottage. Lots of interesting finds in the garden. The rooms are lovely and clean, the bedroom with the high ceiling is so characterful. Susan the owner, is friendly and hospitable without being overbearing. Would recommend 100%.
