Just back from a three day stay here with my daughter, her partner and my 3yr old grandson. Warm welcome from the owner. Lovely family sized room. Extremely comfy beds. Great central location. Boxer very friendly. No problem about no food available as plenty restaurants and cafes nearby. Excellent room rate and definitely book a return stay.

As the name implies, "The Barn Lodge" is a converted barn in the middle of a horse paddock - now that is not all bad - the horses were friendly enough - but the top floor room we occupied was a "loft" with very little room for 3 adults in a room which was booked as a double and single... More

We booked to stay at The Barn Lodge for 2 nights last weekend. We booked the family lodge for me, my wife and our 2 children. Wasn't sure what to expect, but wow were we in for a treat! The family lodge was fantastic - very spacious and gleaming throughout. Not sure how long it has been open, but everything... More

We had a comfortable twin room. It was clean and the location was very quiet. The only thing to note is that breakfast is not provided but there is a good Harvester restaurant a few hundred yards away providing a really excellent alternative.

May not look the prettiest place to stay but wow , our room was great (room 1 a triple) . Very large room, very clean. Facilities were good and the small fridge was appreciated. The only place I've ever stayed in where they gave you more than enough milk to have several hot drinks in room! Beds were really comfortable... More

Needing a stop over on a long drive to the north, we came across this place and are so glad we did. So difficult to find a dog friendly place in a convenient location. This was, in terms of location, for us perfect. Close to the motorway and close to the services for my morning shot of Costa!. Room only... More

Although the area immediately around the accommodation is utilitarian rather than picturesque, and one is aware of sound from other guests, the rooms and en-suites are spacious and practical, the views are lovely, the service is friendly and helpful, there is a Brewers Fayre across the road, and easy access from the motorway.
