We (a couple) stayed at two other accommodations in the city, a hotel and a hostel, and the Hotel Renacimiento was the clear winner. We found the hotel and room to be in excellent shape, with things in newer condition and the service very good, all for a reasonable price per night. Just back from a trek to Laguna Miramar, we were grateful for the orderly and clean room, well-functioning bathroom, and the use of the roof to hand-wash our clothes as laundry services in town were closed that Sunday. The staff made us feel very comfortable and were very helpful, lending us a bucket and allowing us to use their washboard and water supply for our laundry needs. They are not smack on the town's central plaza but they are truly not that far. It is walking distance. They have secured parking - a large lot with a remote door on the next block from the hotel entrance. We were not charged extra for that. There is also a small convenience store that is part of the hotel on the first level. We spent a couple of quiet nights here and would recommend the hotel to anyone but be aware that our room did not have AC or a ceiling fan. Nonetheless we were comfortable but that is something you may care to know ahead of time. We're not sure if all rooms similarly lack both AC and ceiling fans.…
