My stay started on the right foot. It seemed like everything was going to be OK. Check-in- no problem, friendly people. However as soon as I got to my room, things started going downhill. The room was very, very warm and it smelled like sewage from the bathroom. To cool it down there was a portable air conditioning unit inside... More

We got to the hotel just after xmas, the hotel was packed. And tho the staff was really kind, the hotel facilities are not good. The wifi is not enough for the guests, its really slow. We had no hot water, they sayed there was a problem with the heater. The bathroom smelled bad, and the extra bed was thin... More

Out Travel Guide Book recommended this hotel as the best of Comitan. My personal impression was that it is ok, but nothing special. It is well located in the center, has an inside pool, but the room we got was average. Same with the food. So if you just want to stay overnight during your journey through Chiapas it's fine,... We only stayed at Comitán because it is close to the Montebello lagunas and El Chiflon waterfalls and saw no other good alternative. At first glance the hotel looks charming but what a disappointment : our room, what they called a jr. suite was on 2 levels with the bed on the upper level and bathroom on the lower one,... More

We booked a night pretty much a day or two before heading to Comitan. Based on the guidebooks description it said it was the best hotel in Comitan, and while we didn't stay at any of the other hotels there, we were more than surprised by how great it is. It's easy to miss if driving, and parking, well, may... More

“I'd ask for the third floor since you'll get a slightly better view of the town and its roof tops. Plus I like lots of natural light in my room.”
