Located a short walk from the charming town of Catemaco, this is an ideal place to stay while exploring the farms and factories of the top cigar producers in the area. It faces a large lake and you can order a water taxi to take you to different attractions on the lake and town itself. The town features a long...

We stayed two nights and they didn't give us any washcloths, no ice machine available and its not that clean. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and a spa. It is in a great location to the lake but on the front side is a busy road with lots of car noise. They should have ceiling fans...

The hotel is in a beautiful location along Lake Catemaco with amazing views from every room of the hotel but the room we were in was sadly rundown and the bathroom on the seedy side. The staff in the restaurant was nice as well as those on the front desk. But like most hotel staff in this area of Mexico,...

This hotel enjoys a spectacular view of the lake from every room. The pool is large and lovely and there is a huge lawn with a play area for children. It faces the sunset, but sunrises are equally spectacular to watch as shadows form in the surrounding San Andreas Mountains. Rooms are large and quiet, though sparsely furnished, and the...

I'll let the pictures talk for themselves! Bathroom was falling apart, room full of bugs, dirty and for what we paid not even one bottle of water was offered! Dejaré que las fotos hables por sí solas. El baño se estaba cayendo a pedazos y pudriendo, la habitación llena de bichos y sucia, y para el precio que pagas ni...

What can one say that is bad when one's hotel is right on the shoreline of beautiful Laguna Catemaco? My room was comfortable and a decent value. Granted, the furnishings were a bit Spartan and showing a little age, but the rooms and the grounds were clean and well maintained. Lunch in the dining area was a bit overpriced but...

The exterior of the hotel might look a bit old, but in general its the best "family" hotel in town. It has all of the commodities you need without being luxurious. I took my 9 yr old, my 3 year old and my 3 month newborn and they loved it. We took the boat trip around the bird and monkey...

After looking around the town, thank goodness we found this hidden gem! Excellent location, food excellent, dated hotel as they all are, but spacious rooms, excellent shower and quite possibly the worst bed I have ever stayed in. It would have been softer sleeping on a plank of wood. Still given the choices in town, would stay here again and...

Hotel was indeed beautiful. A short 15 minute walk from the malecon, the hotel offers a great view and a small but nice jacuzzi. A few place where the hotel fell short: 1- they tried to charge us for making a local call to order food 2- they didnt seem to know of any travel agencies or how we could...

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here and would highly recommend stopping over. Superb lake views from our room, excellent food, friendly and efficient staff...one slight negative is the noise from the busy road and music from Catemaco at the weekend requires some earplugs to sleep.
