Nestling at the foot of the Ascension hill and located on the outskirts of the designated 'Magic Town' of Malinalco, this characteristic Mexican residence is only a ten minute walk from the town's historical centre and sights. Totally remodeled and refurbished, the complex is composed of two barns ('trojes' which are age-old purepecha buildings, Marta and Margarita), two double-height rooms with beautiful views across the gardens (Maria Rosa and Guadalupe), two en-suite bedrooms on the porch of the main house (Teresa and Graciela) and a small two-floor apartment (Nachita). The entire complex has been individually and carefully decorated to the highest standards to ensure a relaxing, restful atmosphere. The spacious gardens contain fruit trees and manicured lawns surround the heated swimming pool. A common area (Don Ramon) has been created for use by guests where visitors can play, watch television, read or simply enjoy the scenery.

Response from Margarita Dorador, Contabilità/Finanza at Casa Navacoyan
Responded 25 Feb 2020
Our main goal is to give a special service to the people who have chosen Casa Navacoyan. My personal care and dedication to maintain 100% of the facilities is precisely so that our visitors are relaxed and in a quiet environment. Unfortunately my poor English inables me to express myself and exchange with foreing visitors places to visit, or describe my experience as a hostess in order to communicate my gratitude for your visit. Thank you for your attention and your stay.

A friend and I stayed for one night and we loved it! They received us with our two dogs (one lab and one medium rescued dog). At the beginning they were a lttle reluctant with the pet friendly concept but as time went by they became more flexible. They were new with the pet friendly concept. The place is amazing with a huge and increidible garden full of little treasure corners. The dogs really enjoyed the garden! They also have an open bar and snack living room with table games you can freely use and write in a note pad everything you consume. It made us feel at home!!!! We had the best breakfast with everything home made and the best service and attention. We did an inxredible hiking trip and we were picked up at the hotel, since we are at the foot of a beautiful mountain we basically started hiking right off the hotel! Also it is right next to the best spa in Malinalco (Olinyotl).

We stayed two nights at the hotel because we were attending a wedding in Malinalco. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner of the hotel. The room we were to stay in had the bedroom on the second floor. The stairs were too much for us so Margarita was able to put us in a first floor room even though it took a phone call to the person who had booked it for the next day. The landscaping is spectacular. It is a feast for the eyes. There are flowers everywhere, plants hanging from tree branches, butterflies and birds. It is so peaceful. A great vantage point is on the patio where a delicious breakfast is served by the hosts. The fresh fruit, juices, homemade jams and butter with the wood oven bread from town is your first course. This is followed by your choice of a hot breakfast. Since we needed a taxi to get to the wedding the hostess called one for us. She also gave us suggestions of where to eat dinner the night before. This is a peaceful get away from the city.

The hotel is in a beautiful oasis of flowers, about 10 minutes walk from the town of Malinalco. We were greeted by the friendly hosts and shown around the grounds of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and our bathroom was nice and airy. Breakfast was delicious and plenty.

I would never have thought that only 2 hours from Mexico City you'd be able to find such peacefulness and relaxation. The accommodation was spacious, bright and cosy, but what you come here for is the incredibly well kept gardens and the peace you find within. We were woken by roosters and countless local birds. Next highlight was the rich and delicious homemade breakfast that prepared us for the hike to the Mexica ruins.

My girlfriend and I planned a weekend escape to Malinalco and never expected a hotel to be such a memorable part of our trip. We felt at home, if home was a small paradise between the mountains. Margarita the owner told us so: "This is my home and people who come here are treated as my family" We stayed in the Martha Room, a small cozy wooden cabin for 2 with all the commodities you could expect on a luxury hotel. Breakfast is GREAT. The attention you get from all the staff is amazing and welcoming. The hotel on itself is beautiful, with a garden, pool and a common room with a mini bar, tv, livingroom and tabletop games. Peacefulness is the common denominator. Casa Navacoyan is a heartwarming experience by itself.

My three kids (ages 14, 13, and 10) and myself stayed at the lovely Margarita room, which is not only spacious but cozy, and it even has a small indoor patio. This room is located by the pool (it is promoted as a heated pool, but is was cold). The gardens have a wonderful variety of plants and flowers. And the view of Malinalco's hill from the pool is stunning. But, a bit more stunning, is the homemade breakfast!! Graciela and Margarita (owners and sisters) prepare jams and chilaquiles to die for! They are both great hostesses and made us all feel as if we were in our "aunts's house" in Malinalco. At night, you can go out with your own key to the front door or stay in their lounge to play board games and watch a movie (wide variety of board games and dvd's). We left behind a couple of our own toiletries in our bathroom. (In the bathroom you will find their toiletries, bath towels, as well as pool towels and a hair dryer). They called us to let us know they would keep them safe until our next visit. And we will visit again!!! Gracias Graciela y Margarita!!

My wife and I visited Malinalco for a friends wedding. We stayed for 3 days and it was an amazing, relaxing experience. Margarita the owner is very helpful, kind and showed us great hospitality. Together with her daughter and niece maintain a wonderful place in the middle of the mountains (as it means in Spanish the name of the hotel). Very quite, peaceful, full of flowers and nice clean traditional rooms, you will enjoy every moment of your stay. Delicious breakfast with fresh bread, eggs and traditional Spanish recipes. Within walking distance to the town centre and relaxing spa nearby, you will enjoy every moment of your stay.

The hotel is really beautiful. Ful of fruit trees and a very well designed garden. The pool is not big but is enough to have fun with the kids. The breakfast is included and is not "a continental breakfast" is a very good and well done traditional mexican breakfast with regional bread and "a la minute" made juices. We felt very welcome by Margarita (the owner) and the staff. There is a self service lounge. Malinalco is a great place to visit with history and nature. Of course a place to return.

Incredible place and experience. I went with my girlfriend, since our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Margarita (the owner), she showed us our room, which was a "troje", cozy, clean and beautiful. Just what we expected (based on the photos and other guests reviews). The pool area is surrounded by a garden with beautiful sights and vegetation. The breakfast was delicious and the service outstanding. Definitely the owner did not post the previous great reviews, but pleased guests such as us! For sure coming back again!
