Given the stress of work, I spend quite a bit of time researching our vacations. We often stay at the Four Seasons, the Mandarin Oriental or other five-star hotels, so our expectations have become quite high. The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is on par with the service, quality, cleanliness and facilities that these hotels offer. I certainly didn't expect this from an all-inclusive resort. The open-air lobby is stunning, and you can sense the stress dissipate as you take in the stunning views of the ocean, the hotel's pools and perfectly-manicured landscaping. The cook-to-order food is far superior to what you typically would expect at an all-inclusive resort. We typically ate breakfast and lunch at Shutters, a restaurant available to Club members and located adjacent to the ocean. We requested Edward, who referred to his section as "his office" and always made us laugh and provided exceptional service. As Club members, we were assigned to a butler, Frandy, who would surprise us with chocolate-covered strawberries or would locate us at the pool to see whether we needed anything. For instance, our adult son has dietary issues and Frandy spoke to the chef in advance to ensure that our meal would be pleasant. Frandy was excellent, and when my son explained to the Club staff that he needed a computer to complete an internship application (my son's computer lacked a separate mouse), Domingo offered his own computer for my son to use. The evening entertainment - even the less-advertised performances near the firepits - was excellent. The fitness center puts every hotel gym, and frankly most private fitness centers, to shame. The center was unbelievably large and stocked with first-class equipment of every kind. We certainly plan to return - and, as I write this, we are only halfway through our vacation. I highly recommend the resort. It is difficult to imagine a better experience anywhere.…
What an amazing resort! For one it’s absolutely beautiful, well kept and safe. The food is excellent and drinks are excellent. It has an amazing gym and so many restaurant options. It has healthy options as well. This was hands down the best resort experience we have had. The staff is all so friendly and helpful! Team Shutters and Anthony and the gym staff were outstanding, mainly the spin instructor and yoga instructor.
What started as a business trip turned into the most relaxing couples vacation. We were traveling for work but added on a few extra days at the end of the trip to enjoy Cap Cana. First, the meeting team and facilities were amazing. We host this annual event for 180-200 people each year, and the comments that we got were that this was the best ever! Everyone felt appreciated and pampered beyond belief. Meeting staff was amazingly responsive to every request, and the venues were beautiful. Food was great, which is not always the case for all-inclusive properties. After our event wrapped, my husband and I stayed a few extra days to relax and unwind, and things only got better. Very quick drive from the airport, so you can get to enjoying the property quickly. The beaches are beautiful (Mind the seaweed - they do their best, but it can get bad. Just grit your teeth and get through it, and the water is beautiful.) The pools were pristine, and if you're not having a good time, that's your own fault. There is literally something for everyone - peace and quiet, music, dancing, classes, shows, you name it! I heard the spa was amazing, but I didn't get a chance to take advantage of it, next trip for sure. The service was out of the world attentive. Special shout out to our butler, Rafael. He took amazing care of us. I can't say enough good things about him and the entire staff, and we'll definitely consider returning in the future.…
We chose the Zilara adult only resort as our first Hyatt visit. It is also our first experience in Cap Cana. We were here for a week in early April. In truth, we were expecting a nicer sea as the satellite images showed. In the end, actually the beach and the sea is not that amazing. The water is milky rather than turquoise and there is a lot of seaweed. Things are a little better at the neighboring Secrets resort. We were also bothered by the unpleasant wind on the beach and from the sea. The wind inside the resort was already very weak or non-existent. This is just our take on the location of the resort. Everything else was amazing. From the welcome by our butler Mr. Frandy, thank you for everything and also for the help at the end with finding a taxi. For us it was a new concept and an excellent experience that there is still much to discover. And we really discovered a lot of BEST. We highly rate the concept of The Pier main restaurant. A wide range of freshness, quality, cleanliness, service and smiles. Really helpful staff, including the managers. Good wine with food and also other beverages. We also had an emerging experience at Brandos and Journeys, thank you you were amazing. And in the evening definitely One Ayed Cat bar, amazing and emotional cocktails at the same time. In conclusion, just clean everywhere, plenty of sunbeds, and smiling and helpful staff.…
The Hyatt Zilara in Capa Cana is an excellent location. Amenities are great with excellent customer service. The entertainment is amazing. I love the attention and creativity provided by Arturo and the staff. I particular enjoyed the 4th of July event. It was amazing! Management staff are also excellent in particular Arismendy Martinez. The butler service provided by Marcelo was very attentive with excellent follow up. Highly recommend#Hyatt Zilara Capa Cana
Our summer vacations were incredible, We visited the hyatt and it was an unforgettable vacation, The attention in that hotel is first class, From the arrival everything is perfect. The entertainment is super fun and they have many activities including crafts that are super good, Arturo, Ramón, Diomedes and Jean were very kind and they treated us very well. The rooms are big and spacious, The food and drinks are very good, A special greeting to Mayreny, Danny and Leydy, it is a beautiful hotel we will return.
My partner and I came to Hyatt Zilara for a babymoon, having only been to one other all-inclusive resort before in Mexico. Our stay and experience was above and beyond what we hoped for. If you can swing getting a club room, do it. The club gets you access to the club only pool, lounge/bar with private check-in and concierge, and being able to eat at Shutters for breakfast and lunch. Our ocean view club room was located in the building directly above reception facing the ocean so you’re centrally located to everything which we really appreciated, especially being 6 months pregnant. The club also gets you access to your own personal butler who takes care of renting cabanas, organizing your transportation and activities, etc. Basically your own personal concierge. Our butler Luis was awesome and even comped us a bottle of D.R. rum., and a special bottle of wine and macaroons and chocolate in our room one evening. The food all over the resort was fantastic, we’re talking restaurant quality food. What was also nice and unexpected were the portion sizes were smaller, not huge American portion sizes but enough to order an appetizer, main, and dessert and not be stuffed to the brim. Also as someone who can’t drink right now I appreciated that they also had mocktail suggestions on the menu as well! I do wish they had more Dominican food for us to try though. At the resort we had previously gone to it seemed like everyone got up early and put their towels down to claim their spots close to the pool but we did not find that to be the case here. Granted there were still some instances of that happening but we never had an issue of not being able to find a spot to lay down. Even at 2pm on a Thursday we found an empty palapa on the beach that we were able to hang out under. The resort did have a list of daily activities and a backup rain activity plan for everyday but if you’re someone looking to party and go clubbing at the resort every night this is not the place for you. We would have dinner, stop by the pastry and coffee bar for an after-dinner cappuccino and then head up to the room by 10:45. Lights automatically go off on the balconies at 11pm and we were never kept up by loud noises. Everybody working at the resort was very nice and helpful. We extended our stay by one day and there was a little bit of headache figuring out how to go about doing that but once they got it figured out it was no problem. Overall I think we’re going to have a hard time finding another all-inclusive resort that hits the high standards that Hyatt Zilara has set. If you’re thinking about booking it, do it.…
We really enjoyed this beautiful resort. The resort was spotless and the service from the staff is amazing . Everyone was so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. At the Pier Buffet, Miguel conception , Santo, and Francisco provided great service . Anthony made us a very special breakfast every morning. Only thing missing is that there is no dancing.
This was our first time to vacation in the Dominican Republic and we will definitely be back. The accommodations, food, service, our butler Frandy were spectacular. Zero absolutely zero complaints. We are world travelers and this spot is a top 5. Highly recommend it!
