So looking forward to this visit but let down by the poor service from the waitress who has lost interest in her job..Not very civil and every request was met by a sullen look. The food does not justify three pots or the choice available. The quality and quantity was poor. The wine selection was good but not great. The room was the best...

We had 2 standard rooms for a 2 night stay which were located in the loft. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, although not overly spacious. Tall people would probably find staying in these rooms awkward as the roof is sloped both in the bedroom and bathroom area. Because of the one small window, it is also very dark...

We spent a very pleasant 4 nights at the Auberge. Whilst it is in a quiet rural area it is simple to find and easy to reach the many different sights of Calvados. We did a combination of things D-day beaches and some of the museums, historical towns like Bayeux and Caen and ranged as far as Honfleur. It is...

This was a great location to visit the D-Day beaches, Arromanches and Pegasus Bridge. Family run hotel in very peaceful surroundings. This is the only place you can eat in Thaon and you have to book. Food is very tasty and cooked by the owners. The room was modern, very spacious and very clean. Service was excellent. Very friendly staff....

Me and my partner stayed four nights in this hotel. Nice, quiet hotel with an excellent staff. Rooms were nice en tidy, bathroom was modern and very clean. Location is an old village in the middle of Normandy. Great location when planning on visiting the D-Day beaches, Caen and Bayeux. The Auberge is also the only restaurant in Thaon, but...

Nice 200-year-old farmhouse/country inn with part converted into modern three-star guest residence building. Very pleasant, peaceful and quiet rural location in authentic older village -- stone buildings and a 1000-year-old church -- surrounded by miles and miles of beautiful farmland. Yet only 10 or 15 minutes from Caen and D-Day beaches. Perfect location for day trips around Normandy including Caen,...

This hotel, that deserves and even exceeds its two stars and Logis de France standards is very quietly located in the tiny village of Thaon, with one bakery, one bar-tabac that closes at 10.00 and the Auberge - annexe restaurant , completely family-run. As it is close to Caen , it allows the circle trip Sainte Marie Eglise - Arromanche...

Nicely renovated old farmhouse. Rooms are comfortable and they have the best breakfast I had in France so far! The Auberge owner is also a good cook with her own restaurant, which is open in the evening. This is by the way the only restaurant in the hole village of Thaon. Food is of good quality, honest and local. You...

This is a very nice small hotel in the quiet village of Thaon. The place is very attractive. The photographs don't do it justice. The location is handy for visiting Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. Our room was very spacious and well designed. We stayed 5 nights and did not feel cramped. Meals can be taken at the hotel, good...

We really enjoyed staying att this sweet family owned hotel in the small town of Thaon. Simple but nice room, friendly staff and a big + for the restaurant with well priced really good food and good service! You probably need a car to get here!
