We stayed again at Maydena Country Cabins before and after a walk in the Western Arthurs and it was just superb. We feel so welcome and comfortable, and can't fault the cabins or the service. Anthea and Derek go way above and beyond what would normally be expected, in order to ensure a perfect stay. The cabins are warm, the...

We ended up here for no other reason than a need to spend a night somewhere on our circumnavigation of Tasmania. What a gem of a place!! Fantastic accommodation and super friendly hosts. On the main road to Strathgordon which is the premier motor bike ride in Tasmania so a great spot to base yourself for the trip in and...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of January & although the weather wasn't perfect, the cabin was. As another reviewer said, it was a little old fashioned, but with old fashioned service from Anthea, it was a great place to stay for a few nights. The cabin was very well equipped & the breakfast food was superb....

We recently spent a night here with friends in Lavender cabin. Anthea and Derek are friendly and welcoming hosts who have created a peaceful and restful haven here. The cabin was small but very comfortable with everything you need. We ate outside on the deck overlooking the peaceful valley and the grazing alpacas. It was a delightful way to end...

The hosts were friendly and the breakfast provisions were VERY generous. I had my best nights sleep in 2 weeks - probably the clean air The cabins were well-placed for visiting the National Park - or for travelling further into the forests ( we didnt have time for this) The cabin was well-equipped, tidy and clean (if a little old...

This place was, quite simply, a joy. The location is stunning. From your doorstep you can view the roses, alpacas, stunning trees and wildlife, and the magnificent mountains! The cabins are timber, which I just love. The decor is simple, clean, warm country. We stayed in the charming Rose Cabin. It was luxury. An excess of pillows on the comfy...

Beautiful views and memorable experiences are around every corner in Tasmania and the Maydena Country Cabins are among the best of both. We thoroughly recommend staying here during your Mount Field and/or Tasmania's South West National Park exploration. We stayed before and after an overnight hike up to Mount Anne. Anthea and Derek not only provided us with an enormous...

This beautiful accommodation is off the normal highway, but, if you are ever on the west coast make sure you stay here, Anthea and Dereck and the most wonderful hosts and they treat you like family, we just sat on the deck of our cabin and looked at the view, the cabin itself is lovely, everything you need, another must...

This was our first time staying in a place like this - run by a couple who made us feel like we were visitors to their own home. They even brought us cheesecake for dessert. Our kids loved the alpacas. We were fortunate enough that two were born the day we arrived, and we were able to go in and...
