Mount Brandon is one of the southeast’s most attractive self-catering properties. These two cottages are located just outside of Graiguenamanagh only 5 minutes’ walk from the river Barrow - a haven for game and coarse anglers alike. They are 4-star Failte Ireland approved and offer all mod cons.

Spent a pleasant few hours at Mount Brandon pottery school with my family over the mid term break. Carmen who instructed us in the basics of pottery was very patient. I would definitely recommend having a go. The whole family found it very therapeutic and we all took it very seriously. Can't wait to go back and collect our masterpieces...... Great value for money and definitely one for all the family.

Had a great time here with the girlfriend. Carmen was great at explaining everything. Learned how to do pinch pots which I hadn't a clue about before. Would recommend to anyone thinking about Pottery classes. If your a tourist with no car in Kilkenny you can get a mini bus from Kilkenny Castle to Graiguenamanagh, if you google bus from Kilkenny to Graiguenamanagh you'll get the timetable. Unless you go early you'll need to get a taxi back, I'd suggest a taxi man named Terry Kelly 085 707 7437, really sound guy and gave a really fair price. Also Graiguenamanagh is a lovely little rural town so I'd suggest to go for lunch in it before or after your pottery class.

Andrea was a great host and full of helpful local knowledge. Cottage was very comfortable and really clean. A short walk from the village and the river Barrow-where you can walk or cycle along and enjoy beautiful views, trees and wildlife. A wonderful part of Ireland. We will be back.

A Mount Brandon Cottage is a great place to stay if you want to come home to a quiet , clean and inviting cottage. We stayed for a week in cottage 1 in late September 2015 with another couple. The cottage was spotless with a well stocked kitchen. We really appreciated the two bathrooms, a washer and dryer/clothesline and Wi Fi. The living room had comfortable furniture arranged for conversation. The large round coffee table provide a centre for all sorts of planning. We even had a fire on several evenings. Manager Andrea readily addressed any issues we had. An added bonus on the property was Mount Brandon Pottery School. I took advantage of classes to learn how to use a pottery wheel, an exellent experience. We found the house cool, but it is adequately supplied with

Well where can I begin? Arrived just after Super Value closed and it was starting to rain. The fist local I had encountered was Mark who was lovely and directed me to the garage where I could stock up on essentials. I met Mark and his lovely wife Tracy again who were very helpful. We went to the Kibabish for a take away, the chicken curry I had from there was lovely , and the children had pizza. The lads in there was friendly and good service keep it up guys. Andrea wasn't there to meet us but e-mailed me all details Needed to get into our accomadation and contact details should we need help. And who could blame her for wanting to pursue her passion and summer is so short. Carmen called in 1st opportunity to make sure we were okay. I would stay there again we had a busy
