If you're looking for great home cooked then the Talbot is the place to go. We were looking for an evening meal that would be just like your mum would make we weren't disappointed. We both plumped for steak and kidney pudding with creamy mash, what a decision it was probably the best pudding we had tasted. Served with peas...

My family and I stopped here for lunch. The staff were friendly and service OK. The food was average not worth the price paid. Has a large garden by the river which is the only great thing about this pub.

We booked this B&B for a weekend away at the local Wychwood Brewery, Witney. We booked around a week before arrival and found the booked nice and easy, the value very good as the stay included breakfast and a good general atmosphere for a Saturday night. The taxi fare into Witney was around £15-£20 each way, with best part of...

Well equipped, quiet and fairly spacious room. Nice bed, shower etc. Excellent English breakfast in spacious dining room. Best of all, 15min bus ride to centre of Oxford, running 4times an hour and through midnight (£4.90 return). Hard to beat!

We had two evening meals and one lunch here while staying in a cottage at Swinford Farm. The bar staff were all very friendly on each occasion and the meals were great value. We had excellent pies on our first visit (on Monday evenings these are only £8.50 and there are other deals on other evenings); huge doorstep sandwiches with...

Decided to revisit this river side pub/restaurant as we had had a lovey meal before. WHAT a disappointment. We where shown to our table handed menus and left to our own devices. No one asked did we know about the set up, or offered to get drinks for us. One of our party went to the bar and ordered drinks....

Nice, old pub with antique detailing. Split restaurant and pub part They also have rooms available. We eat in the restaurant. The food is good and the portions are big. I must admit I found the portions to big.

We booked a room last minute as an overnight stop. The room was adequately furnished with good quality furniture. Unfortunately the housekeeping was awful. The carpet didn't look as though it had been vacuumed and was grubby in the corners, there were marks on the wall and the bed valance that we hoped were tomato ketchup! Sticky cup rings on...
