Nicely furnished room with comfy bed and clean bathroom, it was very warm during our stay and the room was pretty noisy with the window open, the movement of other guests is really noisy and echoey because of the wooden floors. Breakfast was delicious and the meal we had on the Saturday evening was pricey, but delicious. We'd recommend a...

We were made welcome on arrival and shown to our room. The room was comfortable with a well equipped bathroom. A nice touch was a complementary small decanter of sherry. Minor problems with the room were promptly and courteously rectified. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was first class. Easy to use wifi - I wish big hotel chains would make...

My partner and myself stayed here for 3 nights over Easter bank holiday. I think we stayed in room 7 or 8; the room with the separate bath. The room was welcoming amd warm on our arrival. The bed was so comfortable, there was everything you needed and the bath was deep - I was able to relax and watch...

W have 16 month old. We has a few extra requests and Sam and his team were brilliant. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble including a bowl of cereal for our son as breakfast would have been too late for him. We had such a lovely stay. Food delicious, staff fantastic, great atmosphere. (No cot- would...

The attention to detail here is amazing. Sherry on arrival, home made cookies and the most beautifully appointed room. We were so impressed. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing, lovely dinner and breakfast also. We also found some beautiful country walks right near by. Could not be more perfect.

We stayed here for 3 nights with a group of friends (party of 12) on our 9th consecutive pub Spring break. Previously we have enjoyed good surroundings, good beer, good food and good times. This year, based upon the Killingworth Castle's web site we were anticipating more of the same particularly after an unusually long, very wet Welsh winter. Sad...

We stayed for one night in early January 2015, in the dinner, bed and breakfast package. The room was cosy and decorated in a really tasteful way, with great small touches that gave the place real personality. We had a drink at the bar, which had an excellent selection of gins and a lovely wood-burning stove, before heading into the...

We had a lovely couple of nights at the Killingworth Castle Inn last week. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. We had to leave early on Sunday so would miss breakfast but they provided us with some cereal and milk for the room. Our room was lovely - had everything we needed. We had a lovely breakfast -...

Stayed 1 night 8 November. We were the only guests (in ground floor Room 3 so no problems with other noisy guests as mentioned in review below but I see how the shared lobby with the adjoining room plus wooden floors could be a noise issue). It was very nicely appointed with shuttered windows. Bathroom with all amenities very good...

We chose this venue as being half way for our family get together. It was a great choice. The buildings are quaint and very english. The staff were excellent. It helped that although November the weather was quite exceptional. During Sunday lunch there were many eating outside in the sunshine. We were at the first sitting and were a bit...
