We stayed in a classic cabin for one night while traveling back in September 2014. Arriving late after enjoying a beautiful sunset over the Wrangell range from Richardson Highway, we let ourselves in as pre-arranged. We had called ahead and mentioned that we might be arriving late at night. The management staff were quite considerate and left the keys with...

I signed up for trip advisor JUST to rave about our stay at sheep mountain lodge. My (now)husband and I got married on matanuska glacier last weekend and our entire wedding party (27) stayed here from Friday to Monday. It was a perfect stay! First of all, the owner Mark was so out of his way helpful and pleasant! Several...

expected better views and food based on others reviews. Average food. no view of any sherp. Staff nice and bathrooms clean. Unfortunately nothing else in the area. I wouldn't skip eating here but don't expect much.

If you are in this area, this hotel is definately the place to stay. We were on a bike trip and this was our absolute favorite hotel of the whole trip. Locally owned and the owners could not have been nicer! Cute cabins some even have kitchens. Super clean and well maintained property. They also have an amazing restaurant right...

Our family recently stayed at one of their guest rooms. It was pretty simple, but clean and nice. They didn't have separate bathrooms and you had to share with 2 other rooms, but the bathrooms were only 10 steps away and very clean and private.

Sheep Mountain was a great stop on our Alaskan adventure. The lodge is very cozy and the cabin was great. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The food was great too homemade and fresh! The owner was very sweet we had questions about finding Lion's Head for a hike and he told us how to get there...

We parked here in our RV and had a great time. The scenery is stunning, and the lodge has miles of well maintained hiking trails. We had dinner in the restaurant, and that was excellent too. We were not expecting the delicious and beautifully presented meals. Everything is prepared fresh, on-site. The homemade pie selections will make you want to...

Stayed here for two nights with my husband so we could climb the Matanuska Glacier With Mica Guides (about 15mins drive away). Even though it was 'pre-season' and most other places were still closed, this place was in full swing. We stayed in the cheapest cabins with a share bathroom but we didn't have other guests sharing when we stayed....

This is a great pit stop, we stayed in a campervan and fortunately had the freedom to add an extra nights stop there, no waste or water hookups though so would need to be taken into consideration if planning to stop there. Showers available if needed. Cabins looked nice from the outside. They have their own well marked trails from...
