My wife and I stayed for two nights in late December 2016 as a rare break from work and a treat for her birthday. The Anglers Arms is a period property and sits in a very quiet location not far from the A697 so has easy access to North and South of the County. The location is beautiful with some...

Been tonight for a meal as always staff very friendly. We very much enjoyed the meal but my husband was disappointed that it wasn't real chips with the fish, my meal was very good. We will definitely be going back

Just a lovely venue going through refurbishment; just enough but still keeping the original character of the Pub. Will visit again in the summer as there seem to be some lovely walks to try out. The restaurant offers to real local produce. Most of all the staff are friendly and really want to make you welcome.

Came here for a family meal, no hotel stay so the review is based only on the restaurant part. The choice of food was great and we were very pleased with both the service we received and the food we ordered. There is a wide range of choice available and I was able to switch from chunky chips to fries...

What a mixed bag… The service was so bad. It took so long before anyone even acknowledged us and then we were told to wait a few minutes. We had been sitting waiting for over 25minutes. We had been advised that there are accessible toilets; well if they are accessible then most people using wheelchairs are able to balance on...

Had many more great...

We have eaten at the Anglers every time we visit the area and have never been disappointed. Food and hospitality is always excellent. This time I had mixed grill & ice cream and my wife had the burger followed by creme brûlée - lovely food, would love to visit again on this holiday but sadly we won't be able to....

Stayed at the Anglers on a two - night Groupon deal. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable, clean and quite spacious room coupled with an excellent breakfast.. We ate at the pub both nights as the food was very enjoyable and good value for money. There were three well-kept real ales too. We will certainly return.

A really friendly hotel were dogs are welcome in the room and in the bar area, the food was really good, using quality local ingredients, service was attentive but not overbearing, the full English breakfast was well cooked and sufficient, with extra toast and coffee on request
