Chose this Hotel as a mid-way point for family from Scotland and Surrey to get together for a few days and we were certainly not disappointed. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We hit a couple of snagging points due to the current refurbishment work being undertaken, but these were...

We stayed here overnight on a visit to Beamish . We arrived up the drive and found ample parking and spectacular views. On entering the lovely reception we were given a very warm welcome and checked in without any problems . Our room was exceptional . Two enormous beds , a Bosch coffee maker , large wall mounted tv, sumptuous...

We stayed at Derwent Manor with a coach party, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and the bed was very comfy, did think that some of the furniture and fittings were unnecessary. There were lovely views of the countryside from our room, with rabbits playing under our window. The bathroom was very modern, but there was nowhere to put...

Stayed here overnight on a business trip to the North East. On arrival I was very impressed, the place is in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by stunning views of countryside. The hotel reception is a little dated but the rest of the hotel is very modern. My room was huge, had a massive bed, a nice desk to...

Stayed here for two nights mid-week. Really great hotel made all the more special by having wonderful staff. We stayed in one of the rooms still waiting to be refurbished, Balbec. It had a veranda and it has gorgeous views over the countryside. The room had everything we needed and it would be great to go back when it's been...

This place is a gem. Fabulous food, great spacious rooms, wonderful views and every staff member we have met have gone out of their way to make this place special. I would definitely come back here again and the walk across the viaduct is a must do!

Had a lovely stay at the Derwent Manor Hotel. Bought as a gift. Newly renovated. Situated in the Derwent Valley, with amazing scenery. Large spacious bedroom and bathroom. Had free use of the spa, included in our overnight stay. Foods was excellent and staff very friendly, catering for all our needs. Would recommend and will certainly stay there again. Liz....
