The Pytchley continues to be our favourite place to eat in the county, we have never been key down by the food or the service. The staff are polite, food prompt and menu is well priced and varied. You pay more going to a pub chain eating ready prepared food. You can tell it is fresh, the portions are generous....

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Althorp. Arrived early but was taken straight to room to check in. Excellent room with smashing bathroom. Lovely and clean. Had a spot of lunch in the bar then went on our way. On our return had an enormous meal, do take advanatge or the small plate, felt guilty leaving so much. Staff couldn;t...

We take on board your comments about system of ordering at the bar and are constantly looking at ways that we can improve this service, whilst still keeping our restaurant prices competitive. Ate here whilst researching for a venue with a colleague. Interior is drab & decor and carpets tired & worn. Staff were friendly & polite. Food was delivered promptly but was uninspiring & lacked any taste. Pretty much heated/fried mass produced frozen food. No way on earth was this fresh or handmade on the premises. There are much nicer places...

I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to our restaurant recently. I must say our staff, who are without exception committed to providing our customers with cheerful and professional service, were particularly disappointed to read your review. You say that they were friendly and polite, which I am very pleased to hear, and that...

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful! My family and I have been coming here for many years now and we have always thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the value for money. The steaks here are the best around and the overall dining experience is always excellent. The restaurant is always full with both couples and families which reflects the...

Thank you mnichols1 for your lovely comments. We have always welcomed families to The Pytchley, but in recent years have gone out of our way to offer a wide-ranging menu of no-nonsense home-cooked food to suit all tastes across the generations. And in these difficult financial times, we feel it's more important than ever that families leave our restaurant feeling...

Stayed there for 2 months when on business in Northampton. Felt at home immediately with the friendly staff in a cosy and warm atmosphere. Breakfast was good and a huge variety on the menu for supper.

My wife and I stopped off here whilst on a journey along the M1 (south). The place isn't too far from the motorway and appears to be family run. The decor is average for a public house type restaurant and the staff are young, warm and friendly. An advert at the front of house was seeking 'Table Servers' so we...

I am so sorry not to have responded sooner to your review. We do value feedback, as it is only then that we can address things that may occasionally go wrong. Saturday nights are always busy periods at The Pytchley (testament to our popularity, you could say!). We are usually very well equipped to deal with peaks in demand -...

We have eaten in the resaurant at the Pychley on an number of occasions and always found the food to be of a good standard and enjoyable. The service however on the last couple of visits has been dissapointing. Some of the staff seem to be going through the motions and appear to be fed up. This is a shame...
