Had been trying to visit the Pytchley since April. Finally found the time between Christmas and New Year. We had tried to reserve a table but were told it wasn't possible for less than 4 people. There being only 2 of us. Arrived at 1.00pm, place was quite busy but found a table in the bar with more atmosphere than...

We went with family who had come to visit, and stayed on the premises. The adult menu contained gluten free information but the child's menu didn't. The very kind waitress went to check for us and it turned out none of the food on the children's menu is gluten free, which for our 2 year old wasn't good news but,...

Used this lovely country hotel and restaurant for one nite stay. Had stayed here many years before and decided to stay again and see if had changed much.Booked a premium room which was situated at the rear of the hotel on the ground floor, was well worth it for the extra ten pound as it was spacious with a huge bathroom...

This is a perfectly decent hotel in a small Northamptonshire town. We stayed two nights and didn't eat an evening meal there or use the bar but both were clearly popular. The breakfast was unexceptional; ditto the decor, and the staff were busy but mostly helpful. I foolishly never mentioned when booking that my elderly husband had difficulty with stairs...

The bar / restaurant was very welcoming and service prompt even though there was a shooting party in the side room. My mixed grill was very good and plentiful the gammon was simply delicious, tasty and so well...

Yet again, Jim and his staff excelled them selves. This was the Committees 8th stay at the Pytchley and was a most enjoyable weekend. Food 100%, The Pytchley Sausages are a must at any time of the Day. Nothing is too much trouble and the planned upgrading is well on course. Yes we are planned in to stay next April...

We have been eating here for many years and have always received excellent food and service but have decided to stop eating here on saturday evenings because they really overstretch themselves. Its always heaving and very noisy. I feel sorry for the staff as they are absolutely rushed off their feet, so inevitably there are delays and errors and they...
