Came here to stay, as it was close to the Silverstone track day we had booked. I looked for a cheap hotel for the night as I booked last minute. When I arrived I didn't expect such quality. Staff were very friendly, the food was great and so was the room. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Called in for a beer and a sandwich with a colleague after being let down at the Rose and Crown in Charlton. It was quite busy with people having lunch, but it was easy enough to find a small table. Very good, friendly, easy parking - brilliant pub!

You need a pub meal, for 4 or for 8, on a Friday night. It'll be for ok friends or new acquaintances. It's your choice, so you don't want to upset anyone with the setting, the service, the food choice or the price (you're splitting the bill). I think the Fox will do you fine. Chirpy efficient service, OK food... More

What a shame. The Fox used to be one of our favourite places to pop in for lunch. Used to have great service - staff have changed and the numbers reduced. Looks like new staff have joined and are uncertain of where things are, and are struggling to keep pace. After an hour of waiting, for a salad, it came... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food and drinks before heading off for the evening which were very tasty. Room was charming. Just the right size with tea and coffee making facilities, a tv and en suit bathroom. No wifi in room but it was free in the pub. Enjoyed our stay hear and would use it... More

The Fox at Farthinghoe is great if you want a no nonsense and decent place to stay in the Brackley and Banbury area. The Fox is a great country pub with about five rooms in what was probably a converted barn or stable. Our room was not large but spacious enough for a one night stay. It had the necessary... More

The Fox is a pleasant pub in a small village on the A422 between Banbury and Brackley. We chose it as we were attending an event nearby and wanted somewhere to stay which didn’t cost a fortune, as we would literally just need to be there to eat and sleep. The pub was going through a change of management when... More

Food was all very nice and good portions. For the most part, staff were friendly and attentive. A very pleasant atmosphere in a beautiful old building. I would definitely give this pub a try if you're in the area.

Overall very disappointed. The pub was in good condition and the staff were friendly. The food was ok but over priced. Where things really went downhill was in the accommodation. The rooms are simply not up to modern day standards. Sound carries from adjoining rooms very easily due to the converted stable building. The bed sheets were clean, but the... More

This was a last minute booking through one of the sites that specialises in such things. Very warm welcome, shown to my room, lovely and quirky (converted stable), plenty of room, consisting of double bed, bedside table, writing desk & chair and digital tv. Bathroom consisted of toilet, sink and shower. Plenty of room for all bathroom activities, not too... More
