I was recommend this place by a local. It's is well tucked away in the lovely village of Giggleswick. Take care if parking in the rear car park, quite a tight entrance. Settle is only a 5 minute stroll away. First impressions when entering from the rear don't do the pub justice. An abandoned old Range Rover on the car...

Vinny and his lovely wife, Sally run this fantastic pub/hotel with the help of their gigantic dog (soft as anything). It's the community hub of this charming village with an atmosphere that draws the weary traveller to its heart.....the beating pulse of which is undoubtedly the fine choice of well-cellared ales (12 degrees, tapped for the requisite etc). The food...

Genial host, no pestering from the staff. Had the mixed grill at £15. All well cooked. Tried a pint of Main Line, fabulous traditional bitter, just a shame I was in the car or the barrel would have been finished. Forget the Harts Head, nip round the back to this hidden treasure

Great pub, wonderful beer (Timmy Taylor Golden Best) and charismatic landlord. Proper pub, homely, traditional feel. In a great situation and visually striking pub. Can't speak for the food (yet), but everyone appeared satisfied. Love the quirky signs, which probably reflect the host's laconic sense of humour!

We go for lots of walks and therefore lots of pubs! Can honestly say this pub is our favourite. Settled in the quaint village of giggleswick, with a traditional pub feel and lovely cosy decor. The landlord and Lady (and dog trevor) are funny and welcoming, with a good pinch of dry humour! Can't praise the food enough either, a...

I have to say that when I walked into this pub it felt just like a proper pub should.... welcoming !! The ale was in good order, the bar staff pleasant and the landlord was fine.... crikey, some people must not have a sense of humour nor know what a "traditional" landlord is about....he cracked a few jokes, had an...

We visited this pub on a warm sunny evening. Parking was a bit of a nightmare to be honest but the pub inside was warm and welcoming. The tables all had reserved signs on....but we later heard that's the landlords way of keeping tables free for diners rather people who will nurse half a lager for 3 hours. The beer...

In the week we spent in Settle, this became our favourite restaurant/pub. My brother and I discovered it quite by accident just wandering around Giggleswick one day. We stopped in for a pint and bite to eat on a hot June afternoon and were completely charmed by the place. In an age when so many pubs have "modernized", knocking down...
