My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night for a pre-Christmas break, and the hotel staff did their best to make our stay comfortable. On arrival in early evening we were allocated room 15, which was spacious and furnished to a high standard. The room did seem quite noisy though, as there was a lot of banging and...

We stayed in Howfield Manor hotel for one night. We liked everything. Staff were helpfull, room was nice and clean, quite large bed and it was comfy to sleep on. It was warm in the room and in the bathroom. We had wonderful breakfast. The best english breakfast we ever had in the UK. The building of the hotel very...

This is a very charming small hotel, it does need updating and a little TLC but the setting and staff more than made up for it. We walked in to Canterbury in about 30mins and a taxi back was only £8 The staff were so friendly and a compliment to the management, we stayed in room 3 with its four...

We were travelling from the Netherlands to Shropshire via the Chunnel. That was too far for us in one day. We booked in advance. Initially our room was cold, the radiators were not working but the helpful staff found an electric radiator heater which worked perfectly - then the central heating came on. Even better! The restaurant served a good...

I have stayed at this hotel several times and the outstanding service has been given on every stay. I have a serious dairy allergy and the chef always looks after me. I am a female traveller and always feel safe at the hotel and comfortable eating in the restaurant.

Myself and my husband stayed for one night to attend our daughters graduation at Canterbury Cathedral. The hotel is in a lovely quiet location but within easy reach of the town centre. We stayed in room 3 and the room was very nice and even had a mini fridge ideal to store a nice bottle of wine for a nice...

We booked on line via Booking.com, the pictures don't replicate the truth! Very tired premises and feels like a chain where the staff try but they have no real ownership of the place nor customers experience. Its rated 3 star, and I would say thats a max for it. Heating wasn't on in the room at night and the staff...

Dear guest I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. The heating is on during the evening and early morning and during the day when required. Depending on the temperature the heating will go off for periods during the night. I am a little surprised that you mentioned the staff, as although we are in fact...

A lovely hotel with a few slight negatives keeping it from the top 5 stars unfortunately. The staff here are great, the location just a few minutes drive from the main A2 road is perfect for Canterbury with it only a 50 minute walk down the River Stour. The hotel is in a quiet spot with lovely surroundings, they have...

The postion is excellent, not far from the A2 London road to Dover, and convenient for the centre of Canterbury. It's nicely set back from the A28 Ashford Road, quiet, with pleasant gardens and with walks available on the nearby Downs. About 3 or 4 years ago we were taken here for dinner by friends who live locally. It was...
