I can’t even begin to tell you how gorgeous this suite is. It was very clean, well air-conditioned, bright, personable, and simply relaxing. It’s very quiet. Our view is to die for! We had our own jacuzzi, we can see a great portion of the sea and town, there’s a hammock, and we had our own kitchen with a fridge. Pinel island is literally across the water (5 min boat ride). Our housekeeping was so friendly And brought us all that we needed. Breakfast is exquisite - they serve croissants, juice, tea, prosciutto and brie, bruschetta, and fruits! The lizards and insects definitely made their stay around our area, some even got in but they’re friendly. Check out was seamless as well as checking in. Everything is pretty much within distance I would say about 10 to 20 minutes. The only thing that I would say was an issue was finding the place (we ended up on a one-way around the compound going the opposite direction thanks to GPS) and there’s a lot of hills/speed bumps, and the outlets are not designed like America. We had to go get a three prong adapter from the store which was about 10 euros for 2

Dear cokoi90, thank you so much for your lovely comment, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay !!! We made the most of your constructive remarks : Following your comment we've improved our pre arrival message to include some guidance in order for the coming guests to find us more easily and prevent some misleading GPS instructions ;-) Also, on top of the universal USB plugs by the bedside lamps (which allow our guests to charge their mobile phones or other USB apparatus) we got some extra outlet adapters for American guests to ensure that all the Suites are equipped adequately... As for the bumps, they have been used quite liberally on the island : that's a fact... and it does require to be mindful indeed ! Thanks again for staying at the Karibuni Boutique Hotel and we are looking forward to seeing you again.

Whilst we live on the Dutch side of the island, we escaped to the french side and we found true paradise. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast you get is freshly baked croissants and bread, fresh fruit and hot coffee watching the sunrise behind Pinel island who could ask for more. To top it off you get a private rIde out to the island of Pinel where the service and smiles continue A definite must if you are visiting or even live on the island an absolutely amazing place

The Karibuni Lodge is a very beautiful, well situated place to stay on SXM. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite. The views of Pinel Island and Orient Bay are stunning. The room was comfortable, clean, well conditioned, and stylish. The kitchen is small but has everything you need (I don’t know why you’d be cooking in SXM). The bathroom is very nice with a lovely shower and daily fresh towels (although they ask you to reuse due to the freshwater issues on island and I gladly complied). The main bedroom/sitting area is large and spacious with a vaulted ceiling and large King Sized bed which was quite comfortable (coming from someone who doesn’t sleep well). The outside deck is very accommodating with a table and chairs; lounge chairs; and a jacuzzi. The views are stunning. Parking is private and secure. Every morning fresh breakfast is served and it was simply delicious and (I didn’t know this until my 5th day), you can modify what/how much they give you. 🤦🏻‍♂️. What I liked best is they supply a free boat ride to Pinel Island with chairs and towels which in my opinion was the greatest perk. I went to Pinel 4 of the possible 6 days I could have. It is 5 minutes from the Super U Market, 8 Minutes from Grande Case, plus other closer places like Mont Vernon Pizza and La Villa Rouge so great food and needed supplies are not far away. The staff Karl, Manon, and all others were friendly, accommodating, and super helpful especially with all the Covid-19 regulations needed to get in/out of SXM. I do find it a bit pricey for 1 person but if you’re a couple looking for a place for that “special occasion” then you will love it here. There is some construction noise from down the hill due to the ongoing rebuild from Irma but you’ll find that anywhere. The only real disappointment I found was with the jacuzzi; it wasn’t heated (big bummer as that’s why I chose that suite) and the jacuzzi itself doesn’t “bubble” very long. It’s only “air temp” so it you get back from the beach it’s refreshing but at night when it’s 75-77° out and breezy it’s quite cold. Overall I enjoyed my stay, location, staff, and perks. I’d definitely recommend Karibuni Lodge for your “special” getaway.

Dear Andrew, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your warm reviews and share your experience at Karibuni. It was really nice having you with us. We're glad that you enjoyed your stay since you couldn't come to St Martin as you might have wanted to this year. We took good note of your recommendation regarding the plunge pool we will soon experiment a solar and ecological water heating system and we will keep you inform, so that you could try it if we have the chance to welcome you back. Thank you again, Kind regards, Sylvanna, Karl & Manon

Husband and I spent eight nights at the Karibuni Lodge. It was our first Caribbean vacation and we had a wonderful week. The hotel was so peaceful, the view from the room was spectacular, the room itself was large with very comfy bed and arm chairs as well sliding doors that opened up a terrace with table and chairs, lounge chairs and a hammock. We spent ours out there reading, dozing, staring at the water and the stars and drinking cheap rose from the nearby grocery store. We also used the kitchenette and ate in four of the eight nights we were in St. Martin. Sylvanna took good care of us and humored me by speaking to me in French. And Roxanne was a friendly face at the end of the day with useful tips about the best beaches to visit, her favorite local restaurants, and the best bug zapper to buy. Husband found one very similar on Amazon when we got home!
