I was looking for somewhere in the New Forest for a good meal and I have to say that my first visit surpassed my expectations from the already great reviews. Every one of the 3 courses was superb. There are many good country pubs to eat in the New Forest but I think this has to top them all. A...

Visited today for some lunch with close friends and our baby (13 months) . Great attentive staff , and they served amazing food . Ordered S&ale pie and chicken (amazing) . Only down side ; very poor facilities for baby changing sadly! ...there was a high chair and crayons for baby play though. Changing facilities is a must! Having said...

Lovely old pub, with an excellent menu and the most helpful staff in a true 'New Forest' setting, complete with horses and donkeys ambling past the windows.Although we had no problem I would guess in the the summer time. that parking could be a bit of a difficulty.

I stayed here just before Christmas as I was visiting local restaurants. It is basically a local pub/restaurant with some rooms. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and were very lucky to get a table as this is obviously a very popular place. A good menu (all four restaurants have similar menus but each one presents the dishes in...

Starters OK, mains terrible, my sandwich had never seen Tuna and the Pork Belly my partner ordered was awful. Went to the bar to...

Second time visiting and still a lovely place. Price for room and an amazing breakfast is great. Staff always friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 4 again which has the separate bathroom. We quite like this, good shower. Can be noisy over the bar but only till 11pm, after then it's nice and quiet.

Stumbled across this place by accident. Popped in for pint and sandwich. Great big door step ham and pickle with plenty of salad garnish. Staff very friendly and made my brief visit very enjoyable. Must make note to self to return now u know it's here.

We popped in for a light lunch on a Saturday.quite busy which is a good sign.cosy comfy armchairs and nice atmosphere.had quite a long wait for our sandwiches, about 20 mins but worth it when they arrived.shame they have taken the croque monsuir off the menu as we loved that the last time we came.
