Very disappointing afternoon tea, booked for my mum's birthday. Very average food, poor, uninterested service and hard scones. Real shame as the place itself is lovely and view of grazing red deer hard to beat!

I decided to take my fiancee away for a short break for her birthday weekend (17th-19th March). We stayed in a Classic double room, which was spacious yet cozy. The heating was on full blast when we entered the room, however this was easy to adjust. The bathroom was nice and modern and very clean on arrival. We ate that night...

An early Mother's Day tea we shared 2 between 3! Freshly made finger sandwiches, delicious scones both fruit and plain were light, warm and scrummy with jam and clotted cream. Followed by a shot glass of orange mousse and coulis, carrot cake, chocolate mousse cake and a lemon meringue tart with the crispiest of pastry - no soggy bottoms here....

Our first visit to Burley Manor and will definitely return. Afternoon Tea was great and the service by friendly and helpful staff was very good. The Manor and grounds are beautiful and created a relaxed environment.

Second time I have stayed, nice cosy room, lovely comfy bed. It's in a lovely village and is surrounded by a deer park. I didn't have dinner as there is little on the menu for a vegetarian, risotto is a cop out for me I'm afraid. The breakfast was nice though the spinach was wet and made things a soggy...

It has been a while since our last visit and this overnight stop was part of my wife's birthday surprise. And from the outside it seemed as if not too much had changed. However entering the main door it soon became clear the old character had now been replaced! Our room was booked direct with the hotel group with the...

Its a short walk into the village of Burley, and a great base for seeing the beautiful forest. The room was perfect with lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast in...

Had a lovely weekend at Burley. The service is exceptional. The evening meal was one of the best I have had anywhere. We stayed in the old part of the house which was a little noisy (the walls are thin). But the room was very very nice and the facilities top notch.

Our chef's follow the seasons, allowing nature to play a leading role in our menu. It's about a handful of the best ingredients, sourced well, prepared simply, with the help of our wood fired oven, to make the most of their flavours. In the picturesque village of Burley, that is just 10 minutes off the A31 to Bournemouth, you will find this village that is untouched by time, where wild ponies and cattle roam free.
