Value for money . We stayed here with my colleague on official. We enjoyed our stay with good service staff always available to attend to you and also great Wi-Fi to be able to do our work very well. It's Home away from Home.
+ swimming pool + clean rooms + affordable prices + friendly staff but see below - staff is afraid of conflicts with drunken people. We had 5 people who where making a lot of noice. The staff didn’t try to speak with them. We didn’t sleep all night.
When you first walk into the reception area you are greeted with a large soulless white tiled expanse, albeit all very clean. The lady at reception was extremely helpful although we were very late and had no booking. She even got the kitchen chef to come to reception so I could make a quick dinner order. This hotel is large. No there is not much atmosphere as it literally is all white tiled = everywhere! But .............. As a tour operator I would recommend this place above all others in Chipata. 1. The service was excellent 2. Public WCs spotless 3. The rooms are all en suite - even the cheaper ones! And all very clean. Small fridge, kettle and coffee/tea stuff plus a nice fan. 4. The beds we had were very good with mossie nets although the room was a bit barren but we just needed a place to sleep not spend an entire vacation. 5. The bathroom all very modern and excellent shower with very hot water. 6. All the rooms are security fenced and patrolled for safety. 7. There is a swimming pool which we did not get to use though. 8. Restaurant menu is extensive with all choices well within a normal budget. We had excellent steak, chips and veg @ K45 & K60. We left very early so no idea what the breakfast was like. 9. There is comfortable seating with 2 TVs in the bar area - prices also good mid-range. If you are just passing through or on a business trip then this place is highly recommended.…
This relatively unknown hotel was a very nice surprise. Spotless clean, huge and luminous room. The mattress was a bit bumpy and the shower was cold(ish) but okay anyway. Some noise in the morning (maybe the cleaning ladies?) but all in all good experience. No breakfast, but still I would stay here instead of Crossroads which is more expensive. We got a double for 250kw (approx 35€) so the quality for the price is very good.
