the location is lovely and the restaurant staff good. However over a period of a month we have experienced the very poor choice of food and its preparation offered for weekday lunches. Dried out chicken and veg which have been shown hot water but remained too hard to cut up - even the green tipped potatoes. Sunday lunch is much...

Here with friends, having evening meal before returning back to Castletown. The menu is extensive and the selection of wines is rather good. I had the fillet whilst my friends from Yorkshire had fish. Will be returning when it re opens Captain Medley

I was made aware by some friends that Comis Holdings had agreed the sale of the Mount Murray Golf Club and restaurant and that while building is underway after a fire at the main Hotel the golf course and restaurant were now open the new name was Comis at Mount Murray. As I had not been on the Isle of...

I ate here with 8 friends on Sunday. 3 courses for £20 per head. Starter was mainly seafood; prawns mussels smoked salmon and salad selection. The main course is a carvery offering 3 meats and a fabulous selection of vegetables. A medley of roasted parsnips suede and butternut squash was exceptionally good. Dessert was the usual sticky toffee pudding, apple pie...

After the fire a couple of years ago, there was no restaurant facility. The main hotel is still shut and awaiting rebuilding. They have now reopened the restaurant at the Mount Murray Golf Club which is not solely for the golfing community. We ate in there on Saturday evening and the place was very quiet. It appears that no marketing...

Sorry, but there appears little likelihood this hotel will reopen in the foreseeable future following a major fire about two years ago that destroyed the accommodation wings. I'm afraid I cannot add more details to satisfy the minimum requirements for a review because there is nothing else that can be said at present. The hotel was very modern and the...

Came here in 2010 for a one night stay while visiting IOM to see my friend and uncle. The hotel was spotless, room large and set in lovely grounds. There was also a swimming pool but I didn't use it. Food was great :)

Only the golf Club facilities remain open and the club house . All accommodation , the leisure facilities and the restaurants are closed . There are many disappointed people who had booked functions & weddings for this year who are having to change plans. The staff have lost their jobs too. It was hoped the insurance would pay for a...
