This place was just amazing! The house was full of beautiful old furnitures and the garden was huge. We were lucky to have to whole house just for me and my girlfriend because there weren't any other guests. The room was clean and spacious, Evelyne was wonderful and stayed every night to chat with us and gave tips and maps where to go. We bought the dinner every night from Evelyne and the food was great! You definitely should eat at the house, there is a very unique atmosphere. Hopefully we can come back here some other time! Highly recommended!

Imagine a one-hundred-something- year old habitation owned by a local family, with a mountain view, surrounded by a luxurious tropical garden full of fruit trees and colorful flowers. Then, imagine brunching in this setting, free to choose what would be your best spot in the garden to put your table. Finally, imagine eating delicious local food and homemade juices. The buffet is well-stocked, one of the most diverse that I've seen in Guadeloupe. When I was there, it seems like every hour or 1/2 hour, the staff was bringing a new meal. Therefore, if you're a food lover, you'lll feel like a dog with two tails. And the cherry on the cake : there's an access to the river + the family and staff are friendly and smiley!!!

I am very delighted that you enjoyed spending some time with us at the plantation home. Indeed, we have always put the emphasis on quality and greeting everyone properly so that they may feel at home. We want to make sure that all visitors feel like coming back again or recommend the brunch and the "table d'hôtes" as well as the visit of the house and property which is now listed on the heritage of Guadeloupe. This beautiful 100 years old house is situated in a lush green valley a few kilometers outside Vieux-Habitant. Evelyne, the host, is very helpful and makes recommendations of what to see and where to go. She is very flexible with check in / check out / etc. The house is furnished with antiques, my room was very spacious and had a door to the lovely verandah. I was travelling by myself and for some of the nights I was all by myself in the house (Evelyne lives across the street), but it is very safe so nothing to worry about. I can definitely recommend this beautiful place if you want to get away from the main tourist hubs.
