My husband and I just returned from a week lost in paradise at Congo Bongo. I can't say enough nice things about this property and it's wonderful owner's Daan and Marisol. We stayed in the Palm House, and it is even prettier than the pictures. The jungle surrounding the property is lush and beautiful and very well kept. Everything is...

My family (2 young boys, ages 4 and 7, along with my husband and myself) just returned from 5 wonderful nights at the Palm House at Congo Bongo. Our stay in Manzanillo was definitely one of the highlights of our 2-week trip in Costa Rica and we would return in a heartbeat. Daan and his family, the owners and operators...

My girlfriend and I stayed on the Congo-Bongo estate for a week and this was our first time ever coming to Costa-Rica. WOW the beauty of this country is enough to take your breath away, such a diversified environment with every new ecosystem as beautiful as the previous. Some days we spent hours just relaxing in the Dream House and...

We recently stayed at the Congo Bongo in the Root House. What a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and very safe. We were greeted by the owner, Don, upon arrival, who gave us a tour of the house and some helpful information to make our stay more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the Costa...

We did an 8 day whirlwind American-style roadtrip of Costa Rica this February, and stayed at many great places along the way - with not a single disappointment. But head and shoulders above the rest was Congo-Bongo!! Even before leaving home, we suspected that Congo Bongo would be the apex of our Costa Rica safari, and it turned out to...

I visited Congo Bongo a few years ago with a group from school. The owners were more than welcoming. They went above and beyong to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. For people who enjoy adventure and appreciate nature, this could not be a better location. It is just a short walk from the beach where you can enjoy the...

For people who can appreciate wildlife, easy pace, and workmanship...this is the place for you! Daan and his staff are friendly & excellent at keeping the place clean and for helping with bookings of tours etc. We saw many different species of plants, animals, and insects at this oasis and enjoyed every minute. We stayed at this paradise for 10...

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the River House in Congo Bongo. The best parts are the open air "living room/terrace" on the 2nd floor which looks out over the "jungle." The jungle is a little manicured and cultivated, more of a garden, but we did see lots of birds and some monkeys. The beach is one...

I was very excited to stay in the Palm House at Congo Bongo after reading all the lovely reviews. It did not disappoint. The accomodations were excellent, very clean, and beautiful. Daan and his staff and family were also very helpful: helping with laundry, special accomodations, recommendations for shopping, and giving insider tips regarding the busy areas to avoid during...
