My best friend and I decided to plan an impromptu trip to Costa Rica, which included a 5 night stay at Congo Bongo Ecolodges (specifically in the Long House). Although the house was bigger than we really needed for just the two of us, we...More
I am a little late to write my review of the Long House at Congo Bongo Ecolodges in Costa Rica...But better late than never I say. My boyfriend and I went last October, and we are trying to figure out another visit this September. Costa...More
I don't believe any photos do justice to the beauty of Congo Bongo or the hospitality provided. We stayed six days at the Long House, the first home on the property and I had the greatest experience of my life thus far.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Long Dream House with 4 children. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is a wonderfully secluded piece of paradise lost where you can disconnect from everything, no T.V. & no Radio - which was perfect!...More

We were there in May for 2 1/2 weeks. We drove from one end of the country to the other, over 1500 km. That being said the roads are fairly poor and the the drivers are crazy. If I were to do it again I would do the same thing. When you drive take your time and enjoy the sights. Just don't get in a hurry and enjoy yourself. You need a GPS. The there are no signs and I don't think I would've ever found my way around without one. You will love Congo bongo
