We came here for spring break in March. We were traveling with a party of 7. Upon arrival we were met by the owner, Daan. He is a wonderful person. He showed us the house and if we ever needed him he was always close by. The beach and town is in walking distance. We cooked at home a few...

We stayed in the Dream Nature House for an amazing week in March. The house is crafted beautifully of gorgeous hardwood. The hammock and rocking chairs were perfect for relaxing and watching the jungle around us. We had so much fun watching and listening to the howler monkeys in the trees!! Congo Bongo made our vacation wonderful!! Daan helped plan...

Came for spring break with our teenage kids and were blown away by the beauty of the area. The Congo Bongo property is so thoughtfully designed and beautifully maintained. The walk from the River Dream House, where we stayed, through the jungle to the beach was beautiful (we saw monkeys!) and the beach you get to is pristine. Hosts were...

Having traveled to Belize and several Caribbean islands, my wife and I decided we wanted the best of both beach and jungle for our wedding anniversary and chose Congo Bongo. We stayed one week and highly recommend Daan and Marisol's ecolodges for a truly unique experience. We enjoyed the personal connection we made with the owners. We ran with Marisol...

My partner and I spent a week at Congo Bongo, and after the very long drive from San Jose (efficiently arranged for us by Congo Bongo), we arrived to a beautiful and idyllic setting. The cabins are set in the middle of a forest full of amazing animals and wildlife. We saw howler monkeys in the trees on a daily...

We stayed at Congo Bongo for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The owners Daan and Marisol are very friendly and did a superb job of making sure we enjoyed our stay. The free laundry service was brilliant. Our lodge (Dream Palm House) was beautiful, comfortable and very well-appointed (fridge, toastie maker - the essentials!). The lodge was not...

After searching nearly every property on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, I chose Congo Bongo for my Mother Nurture Women's retreat. The care and respect the owners have for this land is immediately obvious by how they have developed the property. Daan and Marisol are true "stewards" of this piece of jungle paradise. Beyond the natural beauty, I was...

My friend and I stayed at Congo Bongo for only two nights this February 2017. Although our stay was short, boy was it sweet! I cannot say enough about our positive experience here. This was by far my favorite place I have visited in Costa Rica. The owner and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful for our every need...

My husband and I went to the Congo Bongo in February 2017 and the owner Marisol was wonderful. The homes are beautiful and the experience of living in an open air concept is amazing. Being in contact with nature is a calming experience. The private beach offers access to a perfect walking beach and the waves were wild and lots...

We stayed ten days at this wonderful resort. The owners and staff were great and took very good care of us. Offered ideas on things to do, restaurants and selected local guides. The accommodation is magical living room outdoors but still secure at night. The wild life and birds are amazing.
