We arrived late afternoon, and just sat and took in our surroundings for a couple hours. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute. So much nature happening all around you while laying in a hammock or sitting in a rocking chair. We walked out to the beach, great nature packed walk, and down to the very small Manzanillo city....

We spent 6 glorious days at the Dream Palm House at Congo Bongo. Our favourite activities included: fresh fruit smoothies every morning made in the blender they provided; walking through the jungle at Congo Bongo past the wonderfully painted sculptures to the beach for a lovely swim in the waves; sitting at our dining room table and watching the birds,...

The most beautiful place we have visited in Costa Rica! Right upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful hosts Daan and Marisol. She was very friendly and took us to our house almost immediately. We spend a wonderful 4 days in Paradise. :) The house offered everything and more one could wish for! A wonderful bottle of red wine...

My wife and I had a great time at Congo Bongo. We stayed in the Dream Nature house which was really cool and very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is perfect. It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

What a lovely spot. So nice to have your own completely private place. We enjoyed every aspect of the lodge. I almost don't want to recommend it as I selfishly would like to keep it a secret! Shhhh. There are many reviews describing the lodges, (which are amazing), so I'll try to focus on what else is around. We took...

Our stay at Congo bongo was awesome. The staff cater to every need quickly and happily. They seem to think of everything- free wifi, a complimentary bottle of wine, fresh coconuts, coffee, beach chairs to use, even have a cell phone that we used during our stay. They washed, dried and folded our laundry st no charge. The location is...

After spending 4 nights in a lodge in beautiful Tortuguero surrounded by many tourists of all nationalities; Congo Bongo was the perfect way to top my getaway off: No people around! No concierges, no managers, no waiters, no other humans except lil ol' me. So wonderful! Marisol and Daan, the owners, are great hosts, this is a family owned property...

Better than expected, and believe me we built this up in our minds for months! Beautiful hand crafted houses placed into a beautiful jungle setting. You have privacy from other houses. Really gives you the feel of what is it like to live in the jungle. Do your self a favor and do NOT stay at a regular hotel like...

We came here for spring break in March. We were traveling with a party of 7. Upon arrival we were met by the owner, Daan. He is a wonderful person. He showed us the house and if we ever needed him he was always close by. The beach and town is in walking distance. We cooked at home a few...

We stayed in the Dream Nature House for an amazing week in March. The house is crafted beautifully of gorgeous hardwood. The hammock and rocking chairs were perfect for relaxing and watching the jungle around us. We had so much fun watching and listening to the howler monkeys in the trees!! Congo Bongo made our vacation wonderful!! Daan helped plan...
