We had planned for a two night break in Jan 2021 to celebrate our engagement but unfortunately lockdown happened! Weneventually managed to come at the end of July 21 for a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. Our room was spacious and bright with a beautiful freestanding bath in our large ensuite bathroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room got a little hot during the night even with the windows open but we were there during a very rare heatwave! Staff were friendly and efficient. We had a lovely walk around the area, there's loads of history. We then had a cocktail outside on the lawn. it was heavenly. We had high expectations for dinner and these were met. The food was delicious. We're looking forward to coming back to Ardtara.

I booked a package deal here for a few of us to treat my mother for her 95th Birthday. Everything was nothing less than excellent. All the rooms are beautiful and the house is set in a gorgeous wood. The avenue in was lined with Lime trees in full flower. The scent wafted over us as we sat in the lovely garden enjoying the sum. My mother had the stunning ground floor room as there is no elevator. It's a beautiful, period old country house tastefully adapted to a well appointed hotel. The ground floor shower room was designed for disability. The en suite bathrooms in all the spacious rooms were glisteningly clean - with perfect white grout. The beds were huge and very comfortable. We had a truly lovely dining experience and a good breakfast the next day. It was like being in Paradise. Manager Sean and all the staff are so down to earth and incredibly attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend Ardtara House Hotel to anyone looking for a blissful break away or an excellent dining experience.
