We arrived at the coach house early Friday evening and we're greeted with a warm welcome from Carl and his staff. Given a complementary bottle of wine for our room as it was my other half's birthday, lovely touch and really appreciated. We were shown to our room (the gaping Gill room). On first impressions it was quite small but...

A nice stay in a country pub in a good location for the Yorkshire Dales. Pleasant food , great breakfast, friendly staff. Our only slight issue was we were not prepared for the steep and narrow step access from lower sleeping area to bathroom and room door. We believe it should be " flagged" up to customers before arrival. Although...

We were visiting the area to play in a golf open, our wives caught the local train to Morecombe the station was 300 yds down the road. Both our rooms were very clean and spacious and had been modernised recently with very god bathrooms. The breakfast was very good and we ate in the pub both nights the food was...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. We went in as guest left as friend with everyone. Could not speak highly enough of Karl, Helen and all the staff. Rooms and food top rate. Infact it was that good we booked to go back next month.

We thought we had booked accommodation on main street in Lancaster and were a little disappointed when we discovered that it was 40 minutes outside the city. What a great mistake we made, the Coach House was WONDERFUL. We arrived late in the evening to be greeted by the staff who treated us like family - even buying us a...

We booked a night at the coach house after previously stopping in for a drink a few weeks ago. It has a lovely country pub atmosphere. We arrived at 5.30 on Sunday unfortunately the kitchen had closed for the evening which was slightly disappointing, as we had heard fantastic reviews about the food. The landlord booked us in at the...

We stayed at The Coach House in July 2015, and returned this week for an evening meal. The restaurant boasts a new menu, which had a variety of choice for all three courses. I had haddock and chips which was amongst the best I have eaten, my husband had the seafood platter which was also very good. Good friendly service,...

We booked in to this quirky and charming old hostelry as we were visiting family in Bentham. Friendly and accommodating staff greeted us, the room was comfortable and breakfast freshly cooked and faultless for this sausage snob!! We didn't have an evening meal which I have to say I regret as the specials board looked quite imaginative, including a Cuban...

Stayed just the one night. Really beautiful room - the whernside. Most spectacular breakfast, quality ingredients. Fab power shower and really lovely staff throughout. Evening menu was varied and would cater for most tastes. Although a pub the room was very quiet. The whole place is full of character and has retained some original coach house features. Ideally situated for...
