This is a wonderful place. You walk in through the old gatehouse between the towers and into a real old castle (fortified hunting lodge, apparently). The bedrooms and lounges still retain the feel of being in a castle and it was magical for our children....More

I'm just reviewing this as a castle visitor attraction, not as a hostel. There's plenty of the castle remaining above ground, but the majority of it has been turned into a hostel, so the Great Hall is divided up between three dorms, and so on...More

Great night at the castle, and they cooked us a full english for breakfast, and gave us archery lessons, wish we could do it again sometime, but for us it was a once in a lifetime experience and we were not disappointed, Thankyou.
