My wife and I booked this hotel in haste, not realizing it is a Christian Hotel run by The Methodist Guild. The Hotel itself is situated in a beautiful isolated part of the Wye Valley. After we got to St Briavels we had to ask for directions for the last 2 miles or so. The Hotel is of a grand...

Had a midweek break here with my partner, sadly only for one night. I fell in love with the pictures of the house put on trip advisor and I was delighted when I got to see the house for real. Elegant, beautiful, full of original charm with period features especially in the lounge with wooden panelling, open log fire lit...

What a lovely place. Stayed here overnight with my girlfriend and have to say everything was perfect. The room was clean, tidy and very nice. Check in staff and guests were very welcoming and warm. Local pubs had great food as well. Would definitely stay again.

We found this place by accident whilst walking and stopped for lunch. The service was friendly and the food really good. The gardens were very pretty & well kept. We didn't use any of the lodgings but from what we could see, they looked lovely

We stayed for the night on the 19th of March. The lady at reception gave us a free upgrade to a large family room and ensured there was a travel cot ready for our toddler. We had a lovely time at the hotel, exploring the beautiful grounds and the lovely swimming pool. We had booked not knowing anything about the...

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Lodge Number One last night for our One Year Anniversary. I have to say this lodge was perfect!! Down to the decor (we love country/homely decor,) the space and to the little touches you wouldn't normal expect. The swimming facilities were right opposite our lodge which were an added bonus although we didn't get...

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but don't expect "Hilton" service - this is much more friendly and has a family feel. The food (breakfast & evening meals) were really nice, well cooked and great variety - the menu had a limited choice, however if preordered, they would cook special meals as...
