Every month we go on a coach trip, 17 people in all including the driver. I had booked ahead as we wanted to eat. Wow, everyone of us had a great meal. The Real Ales were perfect. The welcome was wonderful from Nic and his staff. A really wonderful pub. We also left our coach in the pubs car park...

We had a friendly & helpful reception from the landlord Nick and his staff, the pub has good selection of real ales, largers & wine, with a blackboard of varied tasty meals. Live music also appears to be played on most Friday nights.

Walking the Wye Valley Walk we called ahead as we were fearful of making the inn in time before their 2.15 lunchtime orders cut off. The proprietor and the chef obliged by staying open for us, despite arriving a little later than anticipated. We had an adequate lunch but nothing that you wouldn't have hundreds of times in your life...

Stopped here today because the Wye Valley Road was shut, I have driven past here many times but never actually stopped before. Hungry after a nice walk along the Wye in Monmouth, Then food was excellent and big portions. The welcome we received was fantastic, really thoughtful ( my mum was struggling with her mobility),. Thank you to the staff...

We arrived at the Bell while we were out in the area for the day, chose and had a beautiful meal superbly cooked and presented. It was very nice for my husband to have a choice of three very nice vegetarian meals. I had Scampie and it was the most pieces of Scampie I have had with a pub meal...

I've stayed here twice in January and enjoyed my stay. Room simple and clean with drink facilities. Good pub meal in the evening, full cooked breakfast and traditional Sunday lunch too. Nick the landlord was very welcoming and couldn't bend over back enough to be accomodating.

We went for a pre-booked party meal for 15 and were made to feel very welcome and allowed the use of the restaurant all to ourselves, with the tables arranged in a square. The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful dealing with our special requests and provided Christmas music which we had forgotten to take with us. They cleared away...

Stayed for just the one night and were made to feel extremely welcome - the accommodation was perfect for the price and the food and drinks were fantastic. If visiting the area a visit to Chepstow castle and Tintern Abbey are musts Looking forward to returning for our next trip to the Wye Valley

Stayed here for one night and was made to feel very welcome. The room had good WI-FI and was comfortably furnished, resulting in an excellent night's sleep. All of the staff were friendly and our bar meals, from a wide choice on the blackboard, were really delicious. Many thanks everyone!
