Been visiting the Bull for some time now and most times we go there's it's really good, some good beers on tap and wines too. However the Manageress is one of the most rudest, unprofessional and un helpful person I have ever met! Shame cause all the other staff are really helpful and pleasant. Visited yest with family and there... More

This looked promising for a hot lunch on a cold day. We ordered from the special 'game week' lunch menu. The meals we were given were a mixture of really tasty to a real disappointment. The vegetables were the biggest let down. After mentioning to the waiting staff that the vegetables looked old and dried out we were offered a... More

None of your 'new fangled bistro pub' going on here - walked in and the smell took me back to the good old days -that lovely hop smell. Extensive menu - choice was hard! As this was a quick catch up during a tight lunchtime window - we had soup - mushroom and stilton (delicious), served with granary bread,2 halves... More

The food was outstanding, service from the staff Leanne and Daniel was perfect, Leanne regularly check if we required anything and recommended some delicious food choices and wine to go with the food we ordered. Very pleasant and will definitely be visiting again .

I had lamb shank, my partner rib of beef for Sunday lunch. Both meats were ok, but the rest didn't really cut it. Broccoli, carrots - poor. Yorkshires were good, as so was the cauliflower cheese. Not sure what the mash was... Partners desert, rhubarb crumble sponge and custard was very good. No after service once food was delivered. Personally,... More

The Staff are superb and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Every one feels welcome. They offer a good menu at very reasonable prices, The Bull is very popular with the local people who are very friendly. The garden is also very nice and well used.

Stayed 3 nights from Monday 24th. Our room was not the largest but as it was in the front of the old part of the hotel was to be expected. It was well furnished, with tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom had a full size bath with shower. Our evening meal was excellent, the staff were reliefs as the usual staff... More

We stayed here for one night, the staff are friendly enough but I wouldn't say they put themselves out. The room itself was clean but it wasn't big which wasn't a problem. The floors slope however it's an old building so part of the character. However, a 3 inch gap under the door isn't good, infact it's quite poor. Having... More
