At first when my sister booked her wedding at Coral Cove, I was a bit upset. I wanted my first Jamaican vacation to be at a huge all inclusive resort with five restaurants, swimming pools and nightly entertainment and my husband wanted a fitness center....More
So, my husband and I visited Coral Cove this past Feb. The things that I throughly enjoyed were:
- The food. It was amazing and the kitchen staff were very accomadating and were amazing cooks. I miss the soup, salad and fried dumplings.lol
The best place to stay off the beaten path. Close to Negril if you really must go into the city, but we spent our week laying around the beautiful private cove reading books and enjoying the company of the other guests and staff. This is...More
As mother of the bride, I would like to confirm how great the Coral Cove Resort is. We were very nervous about booking at a place that we had never been, especially with all the bad things that we had heard about Jamaica.
Words cannot even begin to capture what an amazing place this is. We visited Coral Cove for our wedding the first week of January. I have to admit that I was extremely nervous to plan such an important event without having visited the resort, let-alone,...More

All windows are screened, doors are not. Just a few of the showers are open air.
We do look forward to the possibility of hosting you, as well as answering any further questions.

We are not experienced travelers, but we did not rent a car. It's a 45+ minute drive from the airport. Very skinny roads, many bikes. I'm glad we didn't drive. Peter will pick you up and deliver you safely to Coral Cove. Peter will take you where you need to go, and stay there, then take you home. We never felt unsafe, but there are questionable areas you drive through. We talked to another couple who rented a car, and wished they hadn't. The driver needs to be paid in cash. US dollars are fine.
In all honesty it doesn't make sense not to do the all inclusive at the Cove. The meals are better than anything else you will get anywhere in Jamaica. And, there is nothing else around restaurant wise unless you rent a car... More
In all honesty it doesn't make sense not to do the all inclusive at the Cove. The meals are better than anything else you will get anywhere in Jamaica. And, there is nothing else around restaurant wise unless you rent a car ( which I wouldnt recommend if you're a first timer). Carlos or another taxi driver can take you anywhere but if you aren't there for a meal the ladies will pack you one if you ask in advance. Beer, wine and liquor is cheap in Jamaicai. . Ice however, is at a premium....

"Doctor Bird was wonderful. Not too hot at all even without AC. More rustic feel. View is amazing."
