A lovely warm welcome from Roger who is one of the owners of The Parsonage. He kindly gave us a lift from Axbridge square back to the b&b which was very much appreciated after a hectic day of travelling. The b&b itself stands in a beautiful location, rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds & breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended:-)

The Parsonage is a Bed and Breakfast in a lovely house set well above the Somerset levels north of Wedmore with a fine view of Axbridge reservoir and the boats sailing there. The house, the hosts and the area would score a full 5, but our room let the score down as did the breakfast. As is so often the... More

We stayed there over the Bank Holiday weekend in May. The property was a traditional beauty. The house is set in a picturesque location overlooking the reservoir with idyllic country views, over breakfast we watched rabbits, foxes, birds and squirrels in the nearby meadows. The Parsonage was just a 15 minute stroll from the village. The location is an excellent... More

Previous reviews are excellent so perhaps our expectations were too high. Having said that we've stayed in very many worse B&Bs so this review has to be read in the context of the high expectations and the higher than average price. The long rutted drive up to the house is very easy to miss if coming from Cheddar. The house... More

An exceptionally beautiful property in a stunning location overlooking Cheddar Reservoir. Large, comfortable rooms, very quiet at night. Very helpful & discreet owner who cooked delicious breakfasts. Will be recommending to friends and family.

First the bad (not bad really), very easy to miss the turn into the driveway as it's partially hidden by trees & hedges, so get precise direction from Pat, don't rely on sat-nav as we did & waste 20 min's trying to find this gem of a house. Pat is a lovely bubbly Lady with a fabulous home full of... More

We stayed here for a Wedding as the venue was full by the time we booked. We were so lucky that it was full otherwise we would have never found The Parsonage. Pat, the owner was very hospitable, organised our taxis from the Hotel to the Weding venue and even rang the taxi driver when we were running late. Breakfast... More

My husband and I have stayed at The Parsonage in Axbridge regularly for the past 10 years. This lovely Victorian non-smoking guest house is owned and managed by Patricia Filer, from whom you are assured of a warm welcome and every assistance to make your stay enjoyable. The en-suite rooms are beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and are kept to an... More
